Addiction did not kill Sandy. She fell down the stairs hit her head and died 5 days later of a cerebral hemorrhage. She was never a druggie she did like to drink a bit One reference does say she had an "alcohol addiction", but I found no mention of any drug addiction. There is a discussion of her death at the link below. Each reader may draw a different conclusion on the accuracy of the information and whether or not alcohol had any bearing on her fall or not. Tragic in any case - she was 31 years old. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Denny#DeathGot to see her and Fairport on the Rising For The Moon tour at the Beacon Theater in I believe '75 or '76.That was one of my fave shows of all time.

I've always thought this one sounded melancholy and sad. Reflections of My Life by Marmalade.

"Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings. It is about the death of Clapton's 4 year old son, Conor. He fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his mother's friend in 1991. Clapton arrived at the apartment shortly after the accident.
