Was bummed to hear that some of the Kansas band has Covid. Even more bummed that the venue didn’t go ahead with the show, anyway, with BÖC solo. They say they are trying to reschedule, but I don’t see how that could happen. Maybe a weeknight?

If I remember right that's the one we talked about in another thread that you were really pumped about. Finally coming to your neck of the woods. The fairly new one by a lake? A cancellation for one you really looking forward is more of a (bummer)2.
Interesting that the venue website doesn't seem to show a cancellation, just nothing listed for the 12th. And the ticket purchasing site is still alive.

Bum yes. We were supporting Kansas on that show. No show without them.
Sandy and I got Omicron in June, we had a couple days of sick, no fever, recovered quickly. We got the Pfizer "vax" in early 2021, no boosters. Can't say if it made any difference. I've had worse colds. I wish no one any worse experience.

Glad you guys had a mild case of it at least.
We've managed to escape it (as far as we know, but have heard some have NO symptoms), but we don't come into a fraction of the people you do. A number of our friends have had one version or another. I fact we had to cancel a dinner with friends this Saturday because one of them had it a couple weeks earlier, now over it, but we're waiting extra time since it's at their house. Most have had similar experiences to yours, although I think the wife said one she knew had it for a month. Be safe.

Really relieved you and Sandy are okay. my wife and I are vaxxed and boosted and got it last month. I was sick from 7/20 through about the middle of last week. So two weeks.. I will say though that this was pretty frickin’ brutal. Not as bad as the first time which did a number on me for months, but still worse than the flu at least. Wife is still sick going on three weeks. Neither of us needed to go to a hospital or anything though. Can’t see if the vax helped or not but it wasn’t as bad as the first time and I’ll take it. What makes me so mad though is that my job won’t allow me to return until I test negative on a PCR test, and I am STILL testing positive. I’ve told them that these tests can detect virus for up to three months after infection whether you’re contagious or not, but the fact that I’m not sick anymore and haven’t been for a week isn’t enough. I can do about half of my workload remotely and a coworker is taking the other half, but The earliest I can retest again is Friday, so even if I finally test negative, it will be almost four weeks of me out of the office. I don’t like working from home for this long. It’s a convenience when necessary, but I mentally need to leave the house and feel like I’m being productive. I can’t wait until this is all over.

The Decatur gig is still listed on BOC's own site, together with another gig with Kansas on Sunday in KY... presumably, if Kansas have Covid on Friday, then it's not likely they'll be clear by Sunday, so possibly/probably that'll be two gigs to be rescheduled...

I just read on Kansas website that the shows in Decatur and Louisville have been rescheduled for next May, special guest TBD. Hope I get my money back. (Edited to say, I don’t care about the money, per se, it’s the principle…but I also understand the nature of these things, so I’m not holding my breath. What would be awesome is if they rescheduled BÖC this Summer, and let the fans decide which show they want to attend.)

It looks like Kansas had announced the cancellation, due to COVID, of 2 other concerts back on July 14, scheduled for Friday and Saturday of that week in Camdenton, Missouri and in Bonner Springs at Azura Amphitheater. From the FOX4KC WDAF-TV website at: fox4kc.com/news/entertainment/covid-19-forces-kansas-to-postpone-concert-at-azura-amphitheater/ "The concert is canceled because members of the Kansas band and others touring with the band tested positive for COVID-19. Some of the people are experiencing symptoms, according to an Instagram post."

I hope it's soon we don't cancel anything for the weakening Wuhan Flu.

Yep that was a bummer...wife and I were really looking forward to the Decatur show. Very first BOC show for me was in Decatur, and it was also Marty's first show I believe.

December 1973…BÖC also cancelled in 1974, blew the power grid downtown, then played again, here, in 83, and 3 times in the late 90’s. An early, if not 1st, show, with the Cheeseberger, was here, in 1999.

They say they are trying to reschedule, but I don’t see how that could happen. Maybe a weeknight? Both the Friday and Sunday shows were canceled and as noted on Kansas social media page. Kansas rebooked both shows for May of 2023 and opening band TBA . 🤔🤔

Poor guys can’t get rid of that crap.
