The date on the article shows March 2, 2024. I don't know if this is from a recent interview with Buck or not.

I'm seeing this quote in several places this week. Controversy for *clicks*. I'm reading minds a bit there, but I think it's accurate.
I'm a little embarrassed to see myself looking like a gossip in print. I'd still like to meet Iommi and Butler and tell them I'm a fan.

I have to say as a teen growing up in the late 60's and 70's then later a bit older and a veteran concert attendee who was at one of the Black & Blue shows I never found any comparison between the 2 bands worthy. One is as different as the other by far. But fans of BÖC and Sabbath back then seemed sharply divided and it was to me that Sabbath fans then were very disrespectful of BÖC fans.. I think the the only thing we agreed on then was that Kiss sucked and we all hated the kids who were their fans. But we've all grown since then. Maybe.

All press is great press to stir up the masses. Besides all that, you may get face time with Tony and Geezer. 😂😂😂

According to Sam Judd, Sabbath - a.k.a. "that bunch of English tossers" - were "standoffish" because they didn't think they should be co-headlining... and when they did precede BOC on the bill, they would purposefully stall and take ages to load/remove their gear and were generally pains in the arse to all concerned in a somewhat petulant attempt to ram that point home to BOC and their crew... and not all was well internally within their camp anyway, a state of affairs that would peak when they fired Bill Ward right before the 21 Aug Denver gig... sadly for us, precisely one year and a day later, BOC did the exact same thing...

I remember Black and Blue at Buffalo’s Memorial Aud. I saw the show from way up in the back. I don’t remember one Sabbath song from the show, I might have run for the bus after BOC played.
I remember the fireworks fired before the show started on Joes side of the stage. ruining that surprise.
Fireworks without the music, that’s not even fun on July Fourth!

The fans won that tour, great bands showcasing fantastic records. Got to see the show four times, Hartford, New Haven, Nassau & MSG. The Long Island show was pretty special. Had floor seats about twenty rows back; seated amongst a bunch of other hardcore BOC fanatics. BOC headlined and the energy in the building was a lot of fun. Haven't watched the bootleg of the movie in quite a while, might have to break that out.

>BUCK DHARMA TALKS BLUE OYSTER CULT/BLACK SABBATH TOUR: ‘THEY DIDN’T THINK THAT WE SHOULD HEADLINE’ thathashtagshow.com/2024/03/04/buck-dharma-talks-blue-oyster-cult-black-sabbath-tour-they-didnt-think-we-should-headline/Notice how what I actually said gets morphed (as quotes) into something I didn’t in fact say. Sounds I was resentful. This happens all the time to anyone quote worthy. Never impune intent to a politician or anybody for that matter based on a headline of even body text until you read the last paragraph. THEN look at the source for clues to bias. The safe operating assumption is, everything is BS. Is it a surprise that any careful politician never says anything meaningful in a casual setting?

For every Buck interview article that I see, I usually find several more "clones", usually with "slight" differences. And they come out fast. Somebody stumbling on a bad clone could come away with "seafood-site quality" information. Fortunately the seafood ones seem to have dried up, and the other more recent clones are normally including a link to the source publication.
A plus for some of the clones is that they have been including a "Ghost Stories" announcement. Free advertising.
As for the politicians you are assuming what they say is meaningful in the first place...................

Tony Iommi didn't have anything good to say about BOC/Black and Blue tour in his autobiography Iron Man; it was a so-so read (I give it 2 and 3/4 out of 5 stars), a lot of ego.

Tony Iommi didn't have anything good to say about BOC/Black and Blue tour in his autobiography Iron ManIt occurs to me that Buck, with his reduced touring schedule, might now be interested in considering just such a literary undertaking himself - "Flat Out: Born to Rock"...? Seriously though, every other bugger is doing it, so why not Buck...? You could even stick in some of Mrs. D's photos, and - maybe - invite guest entries from EB, Joe and Albert to add their p.o.v.s - it'd be nice to have something actually authentic in print form... #just_a_thought

I saw that tour where BOC was the lone headliner (Portland, Maine), my 2nd BOC show. It also marked the last time until the 40th anniversary show where I would see the original band.

The last time I saw the OG 5, was August 1981. That famous month of BOC History started with 3 shows in Anchorage, AK
