Another update: I have the transfer and yes, it does make a big difference. There are some "light leaks" that the lab or myself can't figure out. They want the film back to get it right so off it goes. I would imagine the wait won't be quite a long this time. Just giving you something to look forward to!

Could you tell if the video transfer put the film's audio at the correct pitch? (Did they get the frame rate right?)

It was shot at 18fps and the video scan is @30. I will endeavor to get the pitch correct by listening to the era's live cd's, then match the soundboard track and speed up and slow down as needed. yeah, a several day job, but I love it!
