I will definitely get this album because the previews sound great, though I'm disappointed that Buck's not on guitar on Hothouse Flowers.

Sounds great. I remember reading the book back in the Jurassic period, strange but also wonderful.

Got my CD via pledge music, Buck sings lead on one tune, Richie provides guitars on several, Ann Marie Castellano lead vocals, too. Looks like it'll be released on Amazon soon. Here's more info on it:
The Story
The new Spirits Burning & Michael Moorcock album is an adaptation of the Michael Moorcock novel “An Alien Heat.” It is the first Spirits Burning album to feature Michael Moorcock, and the first with Albert Bouchard as one of the main collaborators.
Michael Moorcock is an English writer, primarily of science fiction, fantasy, and literary novels. He is best known for his novels about Elric, and two stints as the editor of New Worlds Magazine. As a musician, he fronts Michael Moorcock & The Deep Fix, and has collaborated with Hawkwind, Blue Öyster Cult, Robert Calvert and Spirits Burning.
Don Falcone is an American producer, musician (keyboards, bass, and vocals), and captain of Spirits Burning. A live version of the band played in the UK in 2017, with Falcone on keys and vocals, and featuring Hawkwind family members Bridget Wishart, Richard Chadwick, and Steve Bemand.
Albert Bouchard is an American drummer, guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was a founding member and drummer of Blue Öyster Cult. He also plays with his brother Joe in the Bouchard Brothers, and they are both in Blue Coupe with Dennis Dunaway from Alice Cooper.
Says Don Falcone, “The debut Spirits Burning & Michael Moorcock album came together, in so many special ways… I asked Mike if I could do an adaptation of the ‘Dancers’ trilogy, starting with ‘An Alien Heat,’ and he gave a long-distance blessing… Al Bouchard became a co-collaborator and helped improve every song. He also brought in some Blue Öyster Cult family members. The planned sessions with Mike came to fruition, and Mike ended up singing on most tracks, and playing harmonica on three.”

I don't know why they didn't use my guitar on "Hothouse Flowers." I busted my nut on that lead. Very disappointed. I'll think long and hard before doing anything else with any of 'em.

That's a shame; I remember reading the same thing with the studio aces of the day when some amazing - to them - takes were vaporized for any number of reasons (never for 'musical' reasons).

Got an email from Albert, and he reminded me that I sang two songs on the "Alien" project.
"Hothouse Flowers" and "To Hollow Lands." It was Hollow Lands I played the guitar on and Buck's rather good lead IS on the disks. I'd only listened to Hothouse Flowers and expected to hear my guitar and didn't. I'd forgotten just what I'd done on the project, given the time and lack of involvement after recording my parts.
So.. I apologize for feeling dissed on the way the record was completed, and you CAN hear my guitar playing on "To Hollow Lands," as well as Richie's contributions on the disk set.

Well, you see me pleased by this, Buck ! (now, I'm sure you can contribute to the second and third records !)

OK, I'm missing something here, as I have the disc and am looking at the credits and don't see "To Hollow Lands" listed. ?? Rob
