I've been active/inactive, on and off the BOC and Buck Dharma boards for a while. I was super active on the BOC board from 2000 and for a few years, and this place when was set up in 2001/2002ish. I went away for a while after I started college back in 2004, came back for a little bit in 2013 but didn't really stay, plus was going through personal stuff, but now I have found a great deal of stability in life and I think I want to give it a go and try to be social and active on these boards again. I was simply The Ocean on the old BOC boards, I was BoB version 2.0 on here. Seeing a lot of the names here I recognize so many of them. I hope everybody is doing well. I met some of you fine people in real life when I saw BOC in Berwick Pennsylvania in 2002, Jim Thorpe in 2004, and their rained out appearance at Musikfest in Bethlehem/Allentown. The one thing I remember the most about these boards were the kind and wonderful people I got to meet. Since I've been last active I've gone from a professional failure living in my parent's basement to a recent law school graduate who moved into my own home in a new place and most importantly for me got married. I never lost my love of BOC or Buck in that time. I got the boxed set the year it came out and I still give the CDs a spin. I was just listening to Extraterrestrial Live a few days ago in fact. My musical tastes have expanded to include The Kinks, Frank Zappa, Rush (who I got to see three times before their retirement), Iron Maiden (seen three times also... well... two and a half times... that's a long story that involves explaining how awful the NJ turnpike is to those unaware). Anyway, my love of BOC never went away, but it's experienced a sort of renaissance ever since they started putting out new material with Frontiers, and I picked up the remaster of Cult Classic and the three new live releases (and preordered the one coming out next month). That's what made me remember the boards here and the community, and I hope to become a big part of that again. Great to see you all again.

Law school graduate, eh? Have you sat for the bar exam yet? <----fellow barrister I have not yet, counselor. I am currently doing bar prep through Themis. Just did two practice essays today and I've got another practice Performance Test I have to take if I want to stay at least one day ahead of schedule (I try to stay ahead of schedule as much as possible in case I have an emergency or illness that would otherwise put me behind, so I always do a little bit more than scheduled each day). I am taking the Pennsylvania Bar, which is being held remotely in October. Because, you know, nothing helps law graduates than giving them a "provisional license" and telling them that they can't be fully licensed until two and a half months later than they would have been. I won't be missing that potential income at ALL lol. I applied for and have an interview for a government job, though. It's in employment law compliance/investigation/enforcement, etc. I'm currently a law clerk for a plaintiff's employment law firm, and I really enjoy this area. What area do you generally practice in?

What area do you generally practice in? I have only very recently gotten back into practice, doing legalized medical cannabis stuff. I had kind of taken disability retirement due to some significant health issues, but pretty much have that squared away and my current work is something I am passionate about. I was primarily a family law guy---divorce, child custody, all the fun stuff.

I was primarily a family law guy---divorce, child custody, all the fun stuff. Oof, family law. Kudos, because I don't have the stomach for that. Wife was in family court for 11 years. Her ex bankrupted is a personal injury lawyer, and he would file motion after motion after motion, bleeding her dry. One motion was to get an 18-inch easement in the house he used to live in with her (that she bought him out of) so he could go fishing off the dock in the back. For 11 years he filed a motion every cycle and the courts never stopped him. He would do shit like file a response on the very last possible day thereby disallowing her to respond. Her attorney got the judge to allow her to respond and even threatened sanctions against him, but he was never sanctioned. And even some of the family law stuff I dealt with as an intern for a legal services org was just some brutal stuff. I'm having a great time working in employment law. Most of my clients have been screwed over pretty bad but it feels great to get them at least some measure of rightful compensation. Pennsylvania by the way is the most ass-backwards state when it comes to law. Plenty of things that have been codified in statute in other states remain common law in Pennsylvania. I even made a meme about it for my friends who are also studying for the bar right now
