I love the way he drives this track, even with a fake drum kit.

Looks like some other albums have gotten a little boost! This is from the Hard Rock CD & Vinyl list.

Van Halen 3 was not that bad, IMHO. They just sounded like they were trying to sound like a Van Halen clone band.

I can't take DLR's vocals, so by default I prefer Van Hagar. Sammy's brilliant Montrose album gives him diplomatic immunity.

Van Halen was a ground-breaking, trailblazing, trend setting good time rock band. Van Hagar was just another rock band - credit to Sammy though in Montrose. His live album All Night Long is freaking wonderful too. Van Extreme tried too hard but had a couple of good songs.
A band which I will now never tick off my bucket list....

Sammy's brilliant Montrose album gives him diplomatic immunity. That is true. The Montrose debut is one of the debut albums of all time. Like the debut Van Halen album. Like Grace by Jeff Buckley. Like Never Mind The Bollocks...

I dont know if I'm in the minority, but I love a good portion of Hagar's era of VH. Not all of it but a decent amount.
I also REALLY don't like 1984 outside of I'll Wait, Jump, and Panama.

Well, I like some of Van Hagar tracks, but those are not VH tracks in my mind. nothing of the... well fireworks display on 11 of the DLR era. The ADN is not the same. I saw those tracks played by Hagar and the Circle on the big boat during the RL Cruise 2 years ago and they did sound great. And Bonham on drums is definitely a plus.
