I enjoyed Buck and Eric’s appearances on Rudy Sarzo’s Monsters of Rock show on Dash radio. I believe it’ll be played a few more times, there’s a schedule out there somewhere. Dashradio.com
The new album talk got me fired up. Looking forward to that first single this month!

was there any secret revealed? Only that Buck's had a big solo career running in parallel with BOC... I think Rudy was a bit confused... no, no secret revelations that I heard... it's a lot of stuff you'll have read/heard before... I recorded it, but I don't think I'll keep it, so if anyone doesn't get to listen to any of the coming repeats, but still wants to hear it, let me know and I'll upload a copy somewhere for download...

He thought the archives were commercial releases. Hey, it was 4 CDs!

It would be cool to edit the interview segments of Eric and me together and put it up somewhere. You could put it here, although there might be an objection from Monsters of Rock.

Glad to hear Richie will have a few lead vocal tracks. It always bothered me when some bands try to disclaim members who weren't part of either the original era or who were part of an older lineup. I love that Richie has been able to bring vocals to songs like Hot Rails to Hell and keep them alive, and that the band have featured him so prominently. It always annoys me that Iron Maiden have only ever done one song from the Blaze Bailey era (The Clansman) when Bruce Dickinson returned, or that compilation albums only ever do live versions of the songs from Paul DiAnno's tenure. Or how Ian Gillan refuses to do any David Coverdale-era Deep Purple songs.* As much as I love Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, there is clearly a LOT of ego running wild there. Meanwhile Buck and Eric have never shied from giving Richie moments in the spotlight, and that's pretty heartwarming and refreshing. *Burn and Stormbringer are two kickass albums and while their new album is apparently amazing, I would love to know that I could see them live and hear them do Burn, for example.

I really don't think the Ian Gillan from now can tackle Burn. He can't even sing some of his own songs anymore...
as for Richie singing more tunes, of course he should. and not just his. Astronomy isn't played anymore and we know that Buck can sing it, and of course, Richie can too. he did good on Morning Final, singing at the keys.

Sadly, my Mac's ten years old and I no longer have any audio software that will run on it, so I can't actually edit the stream; but in case someone else can, I've uploaded it on WeTransfer :
we.tl/t-BUNhP5oOlyI tried uploading it here but it wouldn't let me... BTW: it's in .mpg format because that's the only way I could record it - but there's doubtless a number of online convertors if anyone needs an mp3... > although there might be an objection from Monsters of Rock
Like my old gran used to say after every bank heist she ever pulled, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission...

How is old gran these days? Did she get extradited with the latest job? No, fortuitously, all charges were dropped after my uncle Tony went round and "had a word" with the prosecution's witness and, after a free and frank "discussion", both parties came to an "understanding"...
