Something about the Richie vocals, and how the groove kinda rolls, especially St. Cecilia, reminds me a tiny bit of Mike Reno and Loverboy. I look forward to hearing the whole thing, and even more, the live treatment!

Maybe Richie can borrow Eric’s Clib Ninja era headbands. :-)

I can't wait for you folk to hear the whole record. I can't sample the record on iTunes in MD, so I don't know what clips they're posting. The record could be approached as a buffet of tunes, although you could listen to the entire record if you've got an hour to spend. I've done that almost a dozen times since it was finished. It holds together in sequence. Curious why you can’t sample the songs on iTunes in MD? Are you guys banned there or something?? LOL. Probably a simple answer I am not considering..

My iTunes (now Apple Music) app on the laptop and MacPro just show That Was Me and Box In My Head as playable. The track list is there, but the play triangle is greyed out.

I personally don't even have an account with Apple Music. I just googled "Blue Öyster Cult The Symbol Remains Apple Music" and found all previews working. I'm from central Europe. There could be certain region limitations. I get to hear 30 second previews here in central EU.

Well, glad it's working for you all. Of course, I don't need previews of the songs, but I'm curious about what you're hearing and what you're not with the tunes. Do the previews all start from the beginning of the songs?

They start somewhere in the middle. They're maybe 60-90 seconds. Enough to know the character of the song, not enough to spoil it.

Yeah, the previews are about 60-90 seconds; usually starts during or towards the end of the first verse before closing in during the middle.

The Commodores had their first number one hit after Lionel Richie left the group. But he wasn't the only singer in the band for The Commodores were a true ensemble of musicians and voices tackling different styles of music. The replacement for Lionel was a complement to the other lead singers and first number one hit "Night Shift" was a smash, a duet with the new guy and one of the original singers. Drummer/singer Walter Orange. Gotta keep going and making music and new voices are a fresh way to invigorate a band.
