Not my proudest moment in life, but I was in a band with this singer/keyboard player whose boyfriend would come to EVERY practice and vaped the whole time. It was in a basement. The fog kept swirling around us, and the bass player and drummer never said anything, because it was the singer's band. During one of our practices, I MAY have kinda sorta threatened to break his nose with my guitar if he didn't go the fuck outside with his vape. Again, not my proudest moment. BUT, he DID go outside...

I'll leave this spam started thread up for a little. Has anyone ever had positive experience with vaping? The horror stories about vaping earlier this year and last centered to my knowledge around THC and other vapes that had ingredients that turned out harmful to lungs, such as vitamin E oil.
As a nicotine delivery system, vaping appears way less harmful than tobacco products to the user and those surrounding. It feels to me the push to demonize vaping comes mostly as an effort to discourage teenagers from developing a nicotine addiction rather than an even handed analysis ot the risk/benefit of replacing tobacco cigarettes with vape.
Personally, I don't smoke, and while I had in the past, I've never been a steady smoker. I suppose putting anything besides air into your lungs isn't a good idea. When you get old, you're gonna want those lungs.

The volume of vapor he achieves is Spicoli van like from a hit from his single device. I cannot imagine how much nicotine he ingests is healthy. I am sure it far exceeds the output of any of the devices depicted above.

I've observed people vaping billows of vapor "smoke" that dissipates immediately but you do wonder why people are breathing the vape like it was SCUBA air. You couldn't do that with a tobacco cigarette, because the smoke of burning tobacco is too harsh and toxic.

It had a really cool interface with Mobile, but Apple banned all Vaping Apps from their store. I could see higher temperature settings being harmful, especially for everyday heavy users. The higher temps are needed for Oils and concentrates, which seem to parasitize unwanted chemicals. If you compare Smoking with Moderate Heat Vaping, you can feel the difference. But Vaping is a lot more work, so smoking is still the preferred delivery method!

It's thankfully much less prevalent while everybody is wearing masks to go out, but I've been on the wrong end of the wind a few times when people have blown that cloud of smoke. Thankfully, I only ever had to deal with one idiot who did it indoors (per my last post). I still think it's rude to blow a cloud of vapor like that around other people, but I haven't seen anybody vaping in months, and before COVID it did seem a lot less prevalent anyway. Perhaps the multiple deaths due to malfunctioning/exploding vapes have given people second thoughts.

Oddly enough, I can smoke a cigarette with no issues but vapes make me choke.
Guess I'm not their preferred testimonial lmao

But that was the only time, and we've had a drink or three a couple times (most memorably at the Coach House shows in San Juan Capistrano).
