None of us were plugged in for the video, tho we did have a short cord in our guitars. I actually played one of the keyboard parts on that song. Not sure how much of it Tom Lord-Alge used in the mix. All the really hard parts on the record were played by Andy Ascolese. Full credits are in the CD booklet. Andy is very capable on keyboards. he is very capable on anything that makes sounds.

After watching it again I'm starting to think it may be another Italian made film Vampire And The Ballerina.Geez I'd have to go check both now.Of course they were all classics to my 9 year old mind.Even Plan 9 From Outer Space.

When the old timers make a joking reference that other old timers understand, it's ok to explain the source story to the newer forum members.

I'm not sure I understand the inference here. Did he not actually play on the track? He shares writing credit with Castellano no inference. just a joke (that you did not understand either. but it's ok, jokes are hit or miss.) (and you do know that it's not the filming of the actual recording, don't you ?)
and well, actually, after reading Buck's post, i'd say that even if Eric plays keys on Last Days live, he probably did not on the recording of the track in 1971 (or before). of course he shares writing credits with Richie. But well, I gather that he mostly wrote the lyrics and Richie the music.
Yes, frog, I understand PERFECTLY well that they aren't actually playing in the music video. Your joke as it were didn't land with me, and I believed you were making a reference to some band lore or suggesting something that I didn't understand. Further, I could do without the condescension, thank you.

wow that escalated quickly. know, then, if you're interested in old BÖC lore, that some people a long time ago were doubting that Eric was really playing on stage. Probably because he was undermixed. Maybe the condenscension is probably because french is my primary language and not english and sometime something that works in french does not work in english. anyway, when a smiley is used, it usually means there is no harm intended, as it was the case. of course, some may prefer that I don't write at all.

Rob's right, I do the licks and the middle solo, and Richie takes it home at the end. There's a lot of interplay of me and Richie on this record. Spread the joy. EXCELLENT BUCK !!! I LOVE IT !!!

Between this and your comments across the way that people who see a Spectres connection are under some sort of "Fans Stockholm Syndrome" for liking it, you come across as condescending and it's not appreciated. But I've responded and that's that. I didn't come to be disruptive so I won't address any comments you make about fans who enjoy the music, and just go about my way here ignoring you after this.

2 days between "frog to the rescue" and that, because of a joke. ok, then, no problem.

Even Plan 9 From Outer Space. So I did some digging as Vampire And The Ballerina actors didn't quite look the same as in the video. I stumbled across "The Playgirls and the Vampire" from 1960 (What a great name for a movie!) and it's spot on.

That’s it! I started watching it but the dubbed dialogue drilled me. I just want to see the scene that Richie’s body blocked in the beginning of the video.

It would have been great to use the Hammer films. Watching those Hammer films just hitting puberty in the 1960's had a lifetime effect on my psyche, as evidenced by the vampire song I wrote. But oh, the rights issues and licensing headaches. Also, the Hammer films were in color.

I think I like Tainted Blood the best out of the three so far. It’s got the heaviness and the catchiness of either of the other two. Why isn’t Ritchie a superstar on his own yet?
