Those of you in the mid-Atlantic states may be able to see a rare night time rocket launch Tuesday night from NASA's Wallops Island launch site in Virginia. The launch is scheduled for 10:27pm on Tuesday Sept. 29. NASA has a webpage about it, and I have included the link below. Just as a point of reference, I am 165 miles (straight as the crow flies) southwest of Cape Canaveral, and I can see their night launches if my local weather is clear. Here's the link - NASA Wallops Launch

This launch has been delayed to Thursday Oct. 1 at 9:38pm due to the poor weather forecasted for Tuesday for that area. So hopefully the weather on Thursday night will be more rocket-friendly.

We got to see a launch at Wallops last spring from Chincoteague Island while on vacation. Absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed

Not tonight, ULA just scrubbed. That pushes back the two SpaceX launches too.

The Wallops launch just got scrubbed. They will announce a new launch date. This launch has been scheduled for tonight at 9:16pm. I hope some of you get to see it. There's also a launch this evening from Cape Canaveral, so I will be outside looking for that one.
