After listening online for a week I finally picked up the CD from from my neighborhood record store(Prince was a regular customer) and then went for a drive around town to listen. Man, it was a great! Cranked up and just felt the energy. After an hour of driving around looking at fall colors I pulled up to my driveway just as the CD ended (a sign from the universe?) I was like a 15 year old once again. Sandy and I listened to the whole record tonight. It's still holding up. Wondering, do you often listen to your own stuff, BOC or solo?

The Billboard 200 heavily audits streaming plays on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon etc. Since the streaming charts are dominated by current artists and their fans, "Symbol" only ranked 192 without any significant streaming at all. It will likely fall off next week.
However, Billboard does have an album sales only chart, and on that one, "Symbol" entered at #12!
I don't routinely listen to BOC records or Flat Out, or the Archives. We finished "Symbol" in June, and I listened quite a bit then. Some time passed by and when the videos came out I listened again, and when we started talking about the record here, and I did a bunch of interviews, I listened again. Last time for the whole 14 songs was a couple days ago. It still holds up. Since we're not touring, I expect I'll listen to it more than I might otherwise. I listened to the first 6 cuts today while driving.

And when you’re driving and listening to BOC, do you find yourself saying, “Oh mh God, listen to that freaking solo?” Because I...do that.

I'll never understand why they factor streaming into this. That should be its own separate chart.

BD, I assume you guys get routine data on streaming numbers, correct? Will be interesting to see if the Halloween/Reaper season gets the album more notice on the streaming services.

In terms of ranking in BOC's body of Studio work Where would you rank TSR? After the first couple of listens I was sure Symbol is their best album since FOUO. However after many more listens (and counting) I now think it's BOC best studio album since Spectres. Who knows where it will land with further listening. What do you all think?

I’m inclined to agree with ‘best album since.....’ but not sure where.
