My friend Adam says the song should actually be called "God Help Me if She Doesn't Hurry the Fuck Up." 🤣 It's late in the evening, she's wondering what clothes to wear She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?" And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight" Clapton may not be God, but he's still got a direct line to the Blazing Apostles. (Bonus points if you can identify the reference). Sunburst Finish Side 2 Track 5.

Here's another unpopular opinion. Pink Floyd basically recorded two decent albums, Meddle and Wish You Were Here. From the remaining 14 albums you could make a half decent one CD "Best Of" compilation.

Clapton may not be God, but he's still got a direct line to the Blazing Apostles.  (Bonus points if you can identify the reference). Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, Delaney & Bonnie, and the Cream albums were excellent.  Derek & the Dominos is a desert island album for me. For someone who has been around for around 60 years, most of his work has been solid and professional.  Apparently he never thought much of his voice; I think it's got a lot of character and pain, perfect for the blues. To me, he's been in some incredible bands, but never a remarkable presence. He's always happened to be perfectly... present.... in them.

I'd add Dark Side to the list of great (even perfect) albums, but I quite honestly agree about the rest. Pink Floyd has a lot of really poor albums IMO that you could maybe mine some gold from, but most of the rest is pyrite.

DSOTM is excellent and groundbreaking, but suffers from being overplayed by classic rock radio.
Animals is top rung as well, and WYWH is an all-timer desert island album.

The diminished use of keyboards in rock music sucks.

ok, nope. That’s too far. Thread closed. So agreed, edog. Uh....Animals? Yeah Animals is OK too. Ok so they made three decent albums including Animals which is frankly far too short. My problem with Dark Side (and this is my problem) is that I have it heard it SO much over the last nearly 40+ years that I am just a bit sick of it. If I were listening to Dark Side for the first time I would think a) what's all the fuss about and b) Money is OK, that can go on the compilation.
