Who/what is Beaker Street? Google it Rob. We used to listen to it when we were teenagers out driving around in the country "road trippin".

I have to share how awesome it is for me as someone who can say "we understand" for many many years like a bunch of us here..just loving this bands music (and its members)....to feel the amount of excitement in the air about TSR.
I just dont remember this much buzz on the last couple studio releases. It is satisfying to share the new album with others and get such an overwhelming thumbs up. To see all the positive reviews. As I said before, exceeded my expectation in the best of ways.
I hope that the band feels that buzz as much as we do ! It is fun.

Indeed, band should be proud of what they've achieved here. I'm hoping for more records, no better time to write music at home than now

Who/what is Beaker Street? KAAY in Little Rock, was an AM radio station in the late 60’s and early 70’s. It was an underground psychedelic rock station, playing deep album cuts that you didn’t hear anywhere else. With 50,000 watts, under certain atmospheric conditions, you could pick it up nearly nationwide. We loved to camp out in the backyard with our transistors and listen in to all the latest stuff, Wishbone Ash, Captain Beyond, QMS, etc. and yes, BOC too, in the later years.

I have a few airchecks of psychedelic stations circa '68.Pretty neat stuff.I even have an interview with Jac Holzman from around '67.WOR-FM I think Scott Muni or Murray The K was the DJ.

Here in central IL, like Marty said, reception was iffy and better out riding around in the country. Played awesome, mostly underground rock music, and indeed, we were turned on to a lot of great bands, many of which never saw major success.

WMMR in Philadelphia was also like that starting in the late 1960's, but it was on the FM band. Somewhere I have a tape where I recorded off the radio a commercial for Woodstock where they mention the phone number to call for tickets and the bands who were scheduled to play. I'll have to look around to see if I can find that.
