Given a set time limitation of 90 minutes for most our gigs, what would you want retired to make room for TSR tunes? The relatively rare "fan" scenario would allow more songs of course, but most our performances are venue time limited. Depending on pharma's progress and the incoming administration's national lockdown polices, we may well never tour again in indoor venues. We just might be too old by the time all this gets sorted out. I have a sense today that it might be a possibility. I had figured on retirement from "On Tour Forever" in 2022 before that bat flew out of the Wuhan level 4 bio lab. 50 years is enough. Odds on the Rolling Stones coming out in 2022? I don't see Biden's proposal of a national lockdown being feasible much less Constitutional. He'd probably just be able to "encourage" states to lock down by issuing a guidance document of some kind, leaving it up to a number of states to continue keeping things open, allowing for shows in those specific states anyway. My more sincere hope is that it's all rendered moot by a vaccine and that it comes out soon. I'm registered to participate in a vaccine study and we all know they're trying to skip a lot of the typical amount of time we'd have to wait just to get one out there. As for the question of songs being retired from a setlist, that'd be difficult but I'd love to see two or three songs from Symbol make it onto the setlist, maybe replacing O.D.'d as the opener with That Was Me, swapping out Harvest Moon or Shooting Shark for Secret Road or Train True, and replacing ETI with Cities on Flame so that The Alchemist can be the encore, which would be a HELL of a closer.

I'll admit, when I read that I had a little tear roll down my cheek. But rather than moan and whine, I thought, it may then be time for a fan's show like no other: The Last Crusade, a Final Outrage
It Will Be Time.

I remain hopeful that concerts will return soon. My state's lockdown went for a couple of months, and while a vaccine obviously was not yet sustainable, I could at least go out again once cases went down for awhile. That said, In terms of a federal lockdown, I can't imagine it being over-dramatically as long as an entire year, but give it at least either 1-2 months or a ruling against it. Even then, I welcome that real federal aid next year will still play a part in reducing Covid deaths and get us much closer to a possible vaccine or cure; Unlike this year where more emphasis was on pointing fingers and absolute carelessness instead of attempting to contain the spread. While I'm not sure what the state of indoor venues will be like in 2021, there's already work-arounds with it like the drive-in shows from this year, which I think is a setup that should be heavily invested in 2021.
Regarding songs to retire from the setlist to make way for TSR songs, I am all in favor of replacing the following:
The Alchemist (replace Last Days of May) That Was Me (replace typical starter like Transmaniacon MC, Red & Black, or Dr. Music) St. Cecelia (replace Tattoo Vampire) Train True (replace Harvest Moon or Shooting Shark)

We need another fan show! Regardless of whether it's a last hurrah or just another unique fan show while still On Tour Forever, there's gotta be another.

Concerning the first part, I guess Last Days can go to be replaced by Nightmare Epiphany AND Alchemist because of their duelling guitar potential. and opening could be That was Me.
Concerning the second part, well, of course, the fans know that it won't be On Tour Forever for real. I wouldn't bet against the Rolling Stones, though...
I agree that a second special fan show would be a great thing : let's all attend one last time.

That's one of those songs that maybe isn't the big three, but that anybody who has ever bought their greatest hits wants to hear.

Instead, maybe cut Hot Rails, Tattoo Vampire and Trans MC, add That Was Me and Tainted Blood, and Lips. Oh, and you can never go wrong with Teen Archer. More than anything, though, I’d love to hear Box in My Head, with an extended outro guitar thingy.

When I saw them in 2002 they did Teen Archer and I was friggin PSYCHED! I never expected to hear that one live. AND this made me look up that setlist and sure enough they didn't play Cities that night! It was a hell of a setlist that night, too: Stairway, Summer of Love, Burnin, Pocket, Harvester, Buck's Boogie, Teen Archer, Quicklime Girl, Take Me Away, Perfect Water, Unknown Tongue, LDOM, Godzilla, and DFTR.

Mart, it's not like we've played "Harvester" to death. We haven't. Let's see how 2021 goes.

It was a hell of an experience for not only my first BOC concert but my first concert ever. My dad and I got to meet Sandy too because she was in the audience, and Bobby Rondinelli came out and mingled with the crowd after the show and signed stuff for people. That's one of those memories that'll be with me until I don't HAVE memories anymore lol

My hope is that we will have a vaccine ASAFP and that the lockdowns don't come back. People need to be able to work again and do the things they love, whether it's touring musicians, chefs, whatever. This being cooped up shit is for the birds, except birds are outside and enjoying their lives right now.

Mart, it's not like we've played "Harvester" to death. We haven't. Let's see how 2021 goes. True, especially not the last few years. I suppose I’m just grasping, since cutting, say, Shark or LDOM, or gasp, Buck’s Boogie would be too hard to swallow, or even read it suggested. As for Harvester, in the day it was a favorite, especially the guitar mix with Allen. But the condensed version, same with ME 262, the slowed down RATB, anything that is not extended with some guitar flourishes, would be my first choices for giving a rest. Part of why Burnin’ For You has always been a live fave of mine, is because you always add some new little fills and runs. I’d be happy to hear the noodle for 90 minutes, truth be known, throwing in snippets and solos from the new stuff and guitar medleys from the legacy live stuff. I know that will never happen, but it’s ok for me to share my dream, I think.
