I'm more interested in the Kronos going to Saturn thing... in case he doesn’t return to answer, from what I remember he put a BOC sticker on a satellite(?) that was on display, he is an amateur astronomer, and that now stickered thing was soon on its way to Saturn.

I wonder if it was the Cassini orbiter? The Cassini is the one that ended its mission in 2017 by diving into Saturn's atmosphere so it would burn up. They had to do it that way to prevent contaminating the moons of Saturn, which are thought to be possibly habitable. I saw a program on Nova on PBS about that.

I, too, love Ooh Ooh Child. I'm glad Guardians of the Galaxy helped expose that song and others to new generations of fans with that soundtrack.

Guardians was great.Definitely a fun flick.Ooh Ooh Child is classic soul.It was a pretty big hit too.Bigger than say At The Top Of The Stairs by The Formations which was a pretty neat tune too but mostly forgotten.

Is it just me but is it the case that the more obscure a vintage soul record is the better it is? See also I'm Com'un Home in the Morn'un or Phoney People by Lou Pride.

Hmmm Don't know those tunes will have to check them out.The U.K. had a huge Soul Music run during the 70's where songs that sold squat here became big on the club scene. The Drifters with Johnny Moore on lead(he was there in two different incarnations in the 50's and 60's) had a resurgence on the scene in the U.K.It's almost like how jazz performers had to go to England in the 50's to earn a living.

You're absolutely right. The two Lou Pride songs I mentioned are both considered to be Northern Soul classics over here.

Listened to the first Lou Pride tune and didn't care for it.Some of the Northern Soul dance floor tunes do nothing for me.It was a monster scene over there,a lot of it was more raw soul with a danceable beat but I could see why they never made a dent here.

Well to each their own. Both are considered to be Northern Soul classics & Coming Home is an innovative mix of Jazz & Northern Soul, not too many of them around!
