I haven't seen the film, but I imagine the first minute is taken up with Godzilla turning Kong inside out, and then the rest of the time is spent with him peeling vegetables, making a nice stock out of ape bones and generally preparing the rest of the ingredients for a Big Monkey Stew... Im not going to say if you're wrong or if you're right; but you are incorrect. Well, if I am, I have company - just saw this meme on Facebook - although it does make me think more "Son of Kong" than "King Kong":

I invite forum reviews of the movie. I saw the last Godzilla movie in the theater, of course because Bear McCreary covered "Godzilla" for the closing credits. As a piece of cinema, I had reservations, although the CGI and action I thought were plenty decent. Haven't yet seen the current effort. On paper, I can't imagine that much of a fight, what with Godzilla's heat breath, radioactivity and building crushing strength, and imperviousness to human's weapons of war. Saw it in IMAX. Not terrible. I liked the last one better, and I wasn't terribly impressed by Mecha. I will say I think I saw it in the best possible format.

Watched it on HBO Max. Decent effects, but not much to the story IMHO. The magic axe was a bit much. Of course, 40+ years ago when my brother and I were watching Godzilla, this would have blown our minds.

Godzilla and The Giant Behemoth would be a good fight.Fight ends when they shoot a bottle of scope down one of their throats.Or a giant Certs.Personally think the genre is played out. These are for younger generations.
