Too many to choose, but tonite it was the solo in 'Don't Turn Your Back'.
Ok so I've been absent for awhile mainly due to my wife's battle with BC, which has totally consumed the last year. But we're back and will be at the Highland Speedway/St. Louis show on the 19th.
So is this taking the place of the BD.com board?
Marty, are you going to St. Louis?
cheers, _!_ Jeff

Glad you are back, Jeff...especially glad that Jane is back too! My mom is a 42 year survivor, and my sister, 12. I sure hope to be there on the 19th, but my son is getting married a couple weeks after that and I'm officiating, so my weekends are pretty event filled. Buck sounds even better than usual, so def go!

*Blues for Sandra* (Archives); Astronomy (SEE); Searchin' for Celine (Spectres) [why do you fade out! AUGH!]; Tenderloin (AoF); Don't Turn Your Back (FoUO). The first few that pop off my brain.

Think Buck will ever get to this thread, or is it another BOC mystery?

Think Buck will ever get to this thread, or is it another BOC mystery? Maybe he already has... His response should be,"They're all good..."

I don't have a favorite. There's some I especially like, but I haven't listened to my recordings in a while, so I forget what's on them. I like to be surprised that something I've played holds up, when I do hear a BOC recording other than the usual ones.

The solo that ALWAYS gets the hairs on the back of my neck tingling is the one at the end of Moon Crazy from Mirrors. Very un-rock. It crosses middle eastern and jazz. Love it.

Sometimes it takes time to get into certain songs-took me quite a while for St Cecilia but now it's a regular listen for me.The solo just seems to me to encapsulate perfectly that Dead-Byrds feel .Everytime I hear it I just think it's as good a break of its kind that the era ever brought.I'm wondering how Buck might have felt at the time. The growth in songwriting from SWU to SFG is enormous, time will do that no doubt and of course having Eric as vocalist brought the band to a new level IMO.Les had his gifts too that's quite apparent Eric was IMO more well rounded.
