I have never heard Workshop live, and now my brother has twice! He said it was an excellent show.

I have never heard Workshop live, and now my brother has twice! He said it was an excellent show. I heard Workshop at Perkins Palace in 1983. It was recorded and it's on a couple of BOC live records about there. I might have heard it another time, but after 80-90 shows I don't remember id I did again. It's a song reserved for longer sets with diehards in attendance.

The more I look at this set list and seeing the cameraman in the video, I wonder if they're working up to recording a new video/album at some point with the new songs included. Like, maybe the cameraman is capturing the shows so they can review what they're doing later?

Wow! What a show. Workshop was played as part of the first album anniversary tour in the UK a couple of years back but I think (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)that the whole album including Workshop was only played at the London & Manchester shows.

Workshop..... hm, well I recognized the significance of it when it started and the band seemed a little nervous about it, Jules blessed himself before it started. Since it was a slower tune and not as popular as the songs before it, seemed slow the flow of the show; and maybe that was calculated, but when you're lighting the hall up with scorchers, throwing in a psychedelic number brought the adrenaline down.
They were on point and on fire. Tighter than I could remember them being. The sound where I was sitting, way in the back corner and under the balcony where only the bass and the lower tones could be heard well, wasn't great but not overpowering either.
The crowd was entertaining as well, there were two major camps dancing in the aisles; the hippie-rocker-burnouts and the involuntary bald men both joined forces to get up, be weird, and good naturedly give security a hard time with running from their seats to go dance with other groups.

Plus the lighting effects were not all that great. Too dark at times out blasting with brightness. Not bad but I’ve seen better lights.. Just saying
