The band’s gear didn’t make it to the gig Saturday night, so they played borrowed guitars. It was still a great 60 minute set, loved that we got the three TSR tunes. Shared the bill with Starship, whom I had never seen before but really enjoyed.
Buck commented that the guitar he played hadn’t been in tune since it came out of the box.
If I can figure out how to post a picture here, I will.

Did the cheeseburger make it back home in the end...? ...or is there an unscrupulous airport baggage-handler somewhere currently composing an ebay listing entitled: "Weird holey guitar for sale"...

Delta Airlines botched the transport of all our guitars from JFK Airport to Detroit, where the connecting flight to Madison WI originated. They went to Atlanta, arrived at 6pm then got to Madison at 10pm, just about the end of our show in Beaver Dam, an hour away. We recovered them in the morning when flying home.
To be fair, the aircraft involved was the smallest jets Delta flies, and no overhead room to speak of for normal carry on transport of luggage. When we do these fly dates, it's a bit of a dice roll that things work out the way they're supposed to.

Buck...do you usually carry your guitar on the plane with you or do you always have to check them

Sometimes I'll carry a stage guitar with me, but generally the Cheeseburger goes in a corrugated plastic flight case as do the others from our gear locker in Hoboken NJ along with the NY band and crew members. I do carry the Martin Backpacker with me to just about all gigs. I'm on my fourth Backpacker, they wear out or get damaged from travel.
