That clip is from Infinity Hall (Norfolk CT) and the band was billed as "Acoustic Jukebox" - the full set is on youtube - DVN was the only BOC track played - on the stand-up bass was a guy who was only identified as "Frank" whilst the guy on mandolin and harmonica was Bobby MacDougall. The other musicians who appeared on the show were Albert and Dennis Dunaway, plus Allan Becker on saxophone.
Edited to add: Found out that the upright bass player's name was Frank Brocklehurst...

Hey Buck-I really dug Ride Like The Wind(saw a clip of Cross playing it live and never realized he played so well) but I really love Sea Cruise.Eric sounded great and the song just rocked.I've seen Frankie Ford do it and he's phenomenal(as is his version of Ferlin Huskys Gone sans mike.

I can't believe an acoustic BÖC show is controversial. Great musicians play great electric and acoustic. This isn't the MTV Unplugged fad era. It's a band many of us have followed since the early 70's and have seen many changes. Just like Buck and EB some of us fans are close or in that same age bracket. Something different from a band known for kicking butt electrically would be a treat. Just to see what electric songs they choose and arrange to do acoustically would be interesting to some of us. I can see some of the younger fans not being interested, but us long timers should cherish an opportunity.

Talking of acoustic BOC, has anyone had a look at the youtube channel of The Bastard Sons of Dennis? They've posted versions of some songs you wouldn't have thought would be first choices for an acoustic set, but they definitely have fun with them: eg: Veteran Workshop Check the others out in their channel - I wish they'd play my local pub... Oh, nearly forgot - here's an instrumental of an acoustic Foot (by William Tyler) - I rather like it: www.covermesongs.com/MP3s/News0115/ShesasBeautifulAsaFoot.mp3

I wasn't there but would like to hear the show. I heard Buck's acoustic part of the Reaper on his archive edition.. That was awesome. I think acoustic would be nothing but outstanding as I appreciate All BÖC music. Old version, acoustics, electric ..

I was there. It was an incredible amount of fun to witness. If I saw BOC just twice and then acoustic...it might be different...but probably not.
Following 100 or so electric BOC shows...the anticipation was high...and it had an awesome "sitting in a big living room" smaller theatre setting and the vibe itself was electric.
Unpredictable, fun, and I loved it. For the most part barely rehearsed and it sounded great.

Adam was at your show when Wilson Pickett died and he had the phone on for Midnight Hour so I was listening in.Eric nailed that too.Yeah dug the jam on SC-nice to have Richies dad do the second lead.Liked it even better than the '79 version you guys did altho that was pretty boffo too.Just a good song for Eric to do Had to be a fun night in your old hometown-liked the variety-I told Richie that doing Higher and Higher officially made him an "oldies performer" LOL Now all he needs to do is Shout.
