Good evening Buck,
I met you and Eric while you were both walking down the sidewalk at Yokota AB, Japan back in 1998-ish. I knew BOC but didn't know who you both were 'in person' at the time and actually stopped to ask you both if you needed something as you may have been lost (think you may have questioned whether I thought you both seemed 'out of place', to which I replied 'you said it... I didn't').
You asked if the name 'Buck Dharma' rang a bell..... and it did but I couldn't place immediately (at the time). Then you gave me the second hint and it 'hit'......
Learned later via our conversation that you were looking for the enlisted club (I pointed you towards the back wall of the building) and the local AFN radio station (which I didn't know where it was - but I pointed you both towards the big antenna).
Didn't get to see your show that evening because I was going elsewhere to fix an airplane (can't remember where)... but heard about it a week or two later after my return. My name may have been mentioned and my coworkers thought it was pretty wild that I got to talk with you both, but didn't get to see the show).
Hopefully some time....
Regards,
J

Did they try to sell you a T shirt J ?
Joking aside pretty cool to happen to stumble upon greatness. What luck. Wish you made the show !

No T-shirt or any other memorabilia Eastmark, but did offer a photo op which I stupidly declined at the time in the madness of the moment (preparation to deploy, etc). Was a pretty cool experience. Coworkers gave me feedback about the show afterwards and mentioned that my name came up at some point (unsure in what context).
I'm sure BOC meets millions during their travels, and this is just one of a multitude, but one that really embedded itself in my memories.... and wanted to mention.

Did they try to sell you a T shirt J ? Actually, the t-shirts for that 1999 tour were a bit different to the usual design: I'm sure Emily who posts on here would have appreciated one...

That was Melne's (TWF) artwork, wasn't it?

I stumbled upon Buck and a few crew members after a show in Munich circa 2008 (2005? I'll check the next night's show ticket which I got by airmail and promptly left at home). They were pondering what to do about their tour bus which had impaled itself on those "do not drive this way" kind of spikes in the parking lot. Never did find out how it got resolved but something must have happened since the next show was in Hamburg at the other end of Germany and BOC played a great set. Two Dutch guys were rockin' *hard* to ME-262. :->

I have this featured in my office. I work remotely now, so all my teammates see Blue Oyster Cult all day long

I especially like Melne's depiction of Bobby Rondinelli in that poster.
