Watched all 8 episodes.Really enjoyed them they did the first book and did a terrific job.The actor playing Reacher was excellent.Liked Finlay's character too.In the new Hunt For Reacher books Finlay has a big job in the White House in national security issues and has a continued link with Reacher which is really a fun aspect of the new books.

Better than the movies. They took the first book and did it justice front to back. And Reacher looks like Reacher-not a 5'6 guy(tho Cruise was good).I've read all the books all the Hunt For Reacher books which I love and Dan Ames Special Investigators series.Next up is season 3 of Jack Ryan.Hope that's out soon.

A great change in actually casting a character that meets the true description of Reacher from the books. Tom Cruise just wasn’t cuttin it for me..

Ha. Even Tom thinks he isn't Reacher, I bet.
I didn't think Titus Welliver looked much like the Harry Bosch in my mind, but I like him and the show very much. Not so much the theme song and title sequence tho.

I foresee a visit to a torrent site in my immediate future...

Lee Child said he was very happy with Cruise in the role but he conceded to the fan base that a 5'6 guy wasn't an imposingly big figure.LOL I've got the first 5 seasons of Bosch on disc but haven't watched them yet and I've never read the books but I'm a big Titus Welliver fan so I figured to really like it once I get to it. John Krasinki and Wendall Pierce(great in The Wire and other series/films)are both great in Jack Ryan. Just starting watching the 3rd season of Hanna.I really enjoyed the first two seasons. Missed most of Billions this year so I need to catch up same with City On A Hill season 2 I really enjoyed season one.At some point once Better Call Saul finishes its run I'll start with Breaking Bad as Saul is its prequel.

I'm still fine with Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead.World Beyond wasn't cutting it so I blew it off after 4 episodes(same thing I did to Agents Of Shield) Perhaps you'll want to start Gunsmoke from its first season to thru all 25 or so.I think Arness was still wearing his Thing costume in season one.

By the way - if you've read 'em, what's your verdicts on the last 2 Reacher books done by his brother...? Didn't do an awful lot for me, I'm afraid - I'm much more thrilled these days with the new Pike Logan [Brad Taylor] or Mark Greaney's "Grey Man" or Joe Ledger [Jonathan Maberry] or Dewey Andreas [Ben Coes] etc etc... unless they take a sharp rise upwards in quality, I can even see a time in the near future when I might not even bother to check out the latest Reacher book at all... :-(

Still pretty good IMO.I have a couple of Greaney books but haven't gotten to them.I have a lot of Clancy to go thru I'm reading Run Rabbit right now. I'm really enjoying The Hunt For Reacher books I've read all 16 so far. Still enjoying the Mitch Rapp series of books too.

I think Michael Connelly is the best detective author writing. You can go back to the beginning of his Harry Bosch books for many hours of enjoyment. A hallmark of his books is multiple mysteries going at the same time. Usually the main mystery gets solved about ⅔ the way through, but there's more excitement and entertainment to come! The stories are one reason the Amazon Prime "Bosch" TV series is so good. The other is the ensemble cast. Also good are John Sanford's "Prey" series.
I ran into Michael Connelly and his family once at Tampa Airport. I said, "Did anyone ever tell you you look like Michael Connelly?" He smiled. I told him I was Buck Dharma and he said he had "Reaper" on his playlist. Nice exchange.

I hear Prey is pretty good. Nelson DeMille comes highly recommended too.Ludlums books were IMO fascinating including the different characters with 4 book arcs like the (I think it's) John Smith the CIA virologist stories and the Jansen book series. Also love the Repairman Jack series. He's a cool character.

Bosch was really a great series. It had an air of realism with the politics and procedural stuff while still being entertaining and limiting how far it went before a lot of "suspension of disbelief" was needed.
