After talking about the Music Heals concert I went to, I figured I should make a separate thread for the D.C.-exploration aspect of it. Me and my parents got up at around 3 AM to leave for Midway Airport, and I gotta say, it felt great to be on a plane again for the first time in over 9 years. While on there, we had a beautiful sight that was both AM night and day. ^_^ I don't have any from when it was dark, but I do have one from the daytime view. When we got off, took the bus to get our rental car, and managed to check into the hotel early, I took a short nap and afterwards went out for lunch. After some more chilling out, me and dad went for a walk to check out the outside of the DAR Constitution Hall, along the way, we came across a view of the White House!

We walked from Washington Monument to the WWII Memorial to also check out the Lincoln Memorial. I remember when I wanted to check that out when I was a little kid learning about Abe.

I almost forgot to mention that we also came across some art sculptures after we left the first museum!

That wall is really something-the Korean War display was very impressive too.We drove past the Howard Theater-the refurbished one that BOC played in.For many years in the 50's/60's it was part of the East Coast Chitlin Circuit for black R&B groups along with the Uptown in Philly and Apollo in New York.
