I'm just in the midst of a holiday to Florida, first to Disney World with my granddaughters, and now spending time in my old stomping grounds in St. Augustine.
I seem to have survived any misguided behavioural challenges, other than feeling an intense compulsion to smuggle a baby alligator down my shorts when crossing the border back to Canada.That's not that unusual, is it?

My wife, my son & I went there Summer of 2021 & it was actually our 1st time in Florida. We loved it. Took our boy ( 10 yrs old ) to Disney World, it was great & all....but too Fng hot. 105 the day we went went. Five hrs was all we could bear, the lines were too long & was too hot.. We never ate, I was assuming we'd find a restaurant & enjoy a nice meal. We find an ice cream stand, I ask the kid where can I get a cold beer, he said no booze in the park, I said F this we're dyin' here anyways & the wife agreed. Even my boy was ready to go, he had that flushed "too hot" look about him so we bailed. Not exactly DW's fault, but don't go in the middle of August.Hey, our fault, I get it.
We did realize we loved Florida overall tho, just bad timing ya know. We enjoyed Cocoa Beach, NASA, Orlando etc., so overall we loved it. I kinda miss that place & want to go back. Would be killer to see the Cult play there live.
