Is Buck really Roy or maybe Roy is Buck.??

I was thinking about that time I heard Buck saying that Roy Clark was a early inspiration of his picking style.
I remembered that Odd Couple episode where Roy played an obviously unscripted piece that on retrospect could easily have been Buck on electric.
..I would love to see that!
