Still a great record, I can remember being a little worried about it before hearing it the first time because it had been so long since there had been an album of new songs from the band. Shouldn’t have been a worry. The album art didn’t put me off but it’s the music which interests me. Great collection of songs. Amazing to think the album is 25.

Ya know every song on that album is great. I remember when it first came out I couldn't stop listening to Harvest Moon...still love it. I thought it was the most traditional BOC like song. But now after listening to it for 25 years they all sound like BOC to me. And there's no skip overs at all but I do tend to love the "Buck" vocal tunes more (although See you in Black,Power Underneath, and Hammerback are great too!) I wish the HF tunes were done more often at live shows. Harvest Moon is always one of my favorite live tunes but I'd love to hear Damaged, Xray Eyes, Real World, Live for Me, or Still Burning too in some shows. But hey...it's BOC...I'm happy with any set list.

HF - a great album!
I figured there were some type of rights or distribution issues awhile back when I checked BOC CD prices on Amazon. It was wayyy up there dollar wise compared to the other CD's. I can't remember where it peaked, but something like $40 once. Just looked it up, it's down to $18 now (still a bargain) where a lot of others, but not all, are $5 to $7, but Curse Of The Hidden Mirror is $23. The Symbol Remains is $24, which makes sense since it's newer.
For the cover there's always the alternate Morgan Fairchild version - probably hard to come by though. Probably not $5.
Harvest Moon is by far my favorite. Like the lyrics, like the way the story is presented, like the sound. What else is there? Live for Me is second place for the same reasons as HM. It's sad but well presented. In Thee was on a previous album, but it's still a different and unique favorite. Good addition.
Oh, and X-Ray eyes. As soon as I heard the name Ray Milland in the song I knew what this one was about. Saw the movie many times when I was a kid.
----------- Trivial FYI: We have a CAT who's favorite song is Harvest Moon. Kid you not. I'll be laying on the couch playing songs in random order. I put on HM and here she comes and jumps up on me. Maybe just associates the sound with getting her head scratched. Dunno. But one night I couldn't catch her to lock her up so out of desperation I put HM on in the bedroom. Three guesses who showed up. Whatever works.......

"Damaged" just doesn't strike me as a Buck song. Buck isn't half-man and half-howler monkey. Buck is a gentleman and sweetheart. Eric is kinda damaged. (Harvester, Mommy....)

Have Damaged or Real World ever been performed live? Real World possibly although no evidence on known setlists. Buck Dharma Band performed RW at the Ricky Browning concert. Damaged 100% not.

For the cover there's always the alternate Morgan Fairchild version - Does anyone know: why Morgan Fairchild? If I ever knew - and what was so wrong with Dali's wife that they swapped her out? - then I've clearly forgotten...

I video’ed that day at Appleschmidt’s in Baltimore. I think I was given the “Catch and Kill” (Not to be made public) request of those 4 hours, lol.

I think it's well known that such requests have a 25 year statute of limitations applied to them, so... roll on 18 April!!
