Today is exactly forty years ago to the day that I first saw BOC live at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. Here's a pic of Buck going into the venue (standing next to my mate): I'd given Buck my football scarf and he was probably wondering why - but if he thought that was an odd thing to be given, that's nothing... after the gig, I was so impressed I gave him one of my most treasured possessions - my mum's false (plastic) eye that I'd mounted onto a ring (like Alice Cooper's)... it seemed to make sense to me at the time to do that, but it's weird the stuff you do when you're 15...

The eyeball ring sounds pretty cool.

I used to turn it round so that it was facing upwards when I held out my hand in shops for my change - if I could get the shopkeeper to jump - or even better - scream, then I considered my duty to be done...

That was a cool ring, Ralph. Don't know if I still have it. Congrats on the 40th. I think that picture was taken the week my daughter Danielle was born. She just celebrated her 40th b'day! We'd come the UK from Belgium.
