The End of Every Song. The first official new Buck Dharma music in decades. Today on Youtube, wider availability tomorrow. Will be available to download and buy, as audio. Although the poem by Earnest Dowson adapted as lyric was written over 150 years ago, it struck a chord with me as meaningful today. It took a long time in its creation, the audio and the video. It's been quite a journey for me. Perhaps it will resonate with you too. The song and video are now available for download and viewing/listening on just about every streaming platform!

Wonderful surprise to partake in new BD music AND video as I go on my morning walk. The theme and content resonates with many of us middle-aged+ fans as we realize there is way more road behind us than in front of us; I don't mind, I just hope I have enough road to enjoy the company of my grandchildren as long as possible.
Melodically I'm picking up Beatles and Crowded House vibes; combined with a timeless lyric, great combination. Well done.

I looked up the poem, and save for a word change or two, the track is pretty much faithful to it: The fire is out, and spent the warmth thereof, (This is the end of every song man sings!) The golden wine is drunk, the dregs remain, Bitter as wormwood and as salt as pain; And health and hope have gone the way of love Into the drear oblivion of lost things. Ghosts go along with us until the end; This was a mistress, this, perhaps, a friend. With pale, indifferent eyes, we sit and wait For the dropped curtain and the closing gate: This is the end of all the songs man sings.I think the song is a beautiful creation - Buck mentioned resonating, and it certainly did that to me. I wasn't expecting it, but it managed to slip under my defences and hit home. I've played it twice now but, and this is going to sound awful, I'm not sure I can play it again. At least, not for a while...

this song made me cry. beautiful, melancholy, haunting, eerie, extremely touching. although very similar to the Spirits Burning version in feel and arrangement it didn't strike me last year the way it's doing now. and I agree with Ralph, so emotional that it becomes somewhat difficult to listen to repeatedly.

Looking through the credits makes it even cooler - Albert and Danny on drums and bass, Jon Rogers producing and directing the video, David Ramage art...

Wow! Just AMAZING! It has me at a loss for words. It is quite an emotional song, that I have watched 5 - 6 times now. I’ve seen familiar faces like Bolle, and Jimbo’. Jim Mears that hit a special place in my heart. Who do you see? There are new faces each time you watch! Buck, this song has my mind going with every watch, a bit tearful too. The End of Every Song.

It's very moving inside because it touches something real, it's very beautiful but very sad at the same time. It reminds me of what you feel at a funeral. It smells of death. But that's not what I'd like to remember about this magnificent band that is blue oyster cult and the brilliant Buck dharma.
