In other words, it's hard when The Simpsons already did it. XD

I always thought if I won a contest to be able to name a new BOC album it would be "Mother of Pearl"

I've been working on sketches of the band. Jules and Kasim are done (just gotta add color), Richie's almost finished being drawn out, and I still gotta draw Buck and Eric. They'll appear in the CD insert! ^_^

Here's a basic T-Shirt design plus a countdown page. I was actually gonna post the web page tomorrow to correlate with what time there is left on the timer on the picture (which is why it's a day off from the time of this post), but then I thought, "Why wait?" All that's left to do is the CD insert. Also, to get to the main page, all that the visitors would have to do is click on the hourglass. Fun fact: The timer is actually counting down how long until I see Blue Oyster Cult again, which is on March 25th..

And it's finally done. Last piece of the project here is the CD insert booklet, and honestly, I think it could have been so much better. Fortunately though, that will just push me into doing a proper remake in the future someday, especially with the use of photography. I wanted to make a slideshow out of this, but I don't really feel like doing that. Favorite pages out of all of them was the illustrations of all five guys. I did color them out by hand at first, and while I was messing around with different effects on them, there was this one I particularly loved, because it made them kinda look reminiscent to those creatively interpreted super-detailed human constellations. Also, if anybody notices that something is off, I had to adjust the width of the front cover, because it was tad too wide from what my teacher wanted. I never took those photos either when I saw BOC back in April of last year at the Arcada. Credit goes to strangeways.

I'm listening to the song right now. It's really good! Would be cool if this turned into a BOC song. I'm definitely taking your suggestion and song into consideration! ^_^ Again, this project will get a proper remake, but at the moment, I'm gonna wait until around summer where I could then truly take advantage of the time. Once I have my photos and have messed around with making sand sculptures, I'll post them under a new thread with the album title changed to Night on The Blue (along with the title track) with your song being shared and you'll receive credit!

Hey Emily,
Hope you don't mind me using your song titles for inspiration. Haven't started the music yet.
Where's Betty?
We dated in high school, she cast me aside She went for the jock, I just cried and I cried But when he went missing, my eyes opened wide Could she be that evil? Do I need to hide?
Spring came like a lamb, and i'm moving on I lost track of that dame, those days are long gone But sometimes I wonder, where did she go Is she really that evil, I'd just like to know
Where's Betty? Where's Betty? She's a person of interest, to many I know Where's Betty?
Bridge Life loves beauty, so it seems Passion is plenty in our dreams A fault in the crust shatters the prize Hiding evil with our lies
CHORUS
Well I finally found her, she'd been in the news Her father abused her and now he's gone too He kept her for himself, no other could she have She got her revenge, her future, her past
CHORUS

I was hoping "Where's Betty" would have had a reference to Betty Weiss...

Well here's a fun fact about the title: The idea for it originally came from a nickname for cocaine given by Ace Frehley. I remember watching his second interview on That Metal Show, where he was talking about back when he used to do that stuff and called it Betty White. He also remembers when he would be over the phone with a drug dealer and ask, "Are you coming tonight? What time? Is Betty gonna be there?" I was laughing my ass off. XD Reflecting back when I had originally came up with this song title, I would still keep it as it's called, because I really do love it, but I would probably keep drugs out of the song subject and go with what pdiddy wrote. Cocaine wouldn't make sense in a BOC song today and they aren't doing that crazy shit.
