I think an orchestral version with guitar as well could be very interesting. There are several BOC songs that could be great with wind and strings

Maybe the Japanese trio Shonen Knife could do it justice, I really like this one by them ;-)

A silly thought, what singer or artist would you like to hear covering Don't Fear The Reaper? I just had the notion of Ronnie Specter covering DFTR. I'd like to hear that. Jon Mayer would be kinda funny too. Joe and his gal Joan just released a new cover of Reaper. Allegedly live, but Joe always adds tracks and overdubs stuff before releasing it. Clicks are clicks, right?

Clicks are clicks, right? Is it live or is it Memorex...? Yep, probably Memorex... eg check out 00:46 where JLH steps away from the mike to press a pedal or something yet her backing vocal continues undiminished... obviously, I can appreciate the logic why Joe does it - he wants it to be the best it can be... personally, though, I've always been a fan of "live" actually meaning live - it's never sat right with me when there's been "shenanigans" afoot... even when it's been obviously done just for a laugh - eg when Joe added a stadium crowd to the live Conry's version of "Watchtower"...

Misheard lyric, perhaps, but it sounds like they are singing “they’re” instead of “there”, especially in the first verse. Say it isn’t so, Joe!

Since Lisa Marie Presley did such a great job with Burning for You, I would have loved to have heard her do a version of Reaper.

Here, but now There…GONE is how I hear it I think either word works just fine but I always thought Buck was refering to "people" here but now they're (those people) are now gone...?

The "official"(1) lyrics from the old BÖC website:
FIRST VERSE: All our times have come Here but now there, gone
THIRD VERSE: Valentine is done Here but now there gone
FIFTH VERSE: Love of two is one Here but now they’re gone
(1) Caveat: I say official only because that's what was published by BÖC. Buck and I had a friendly discussion awhile back on the lyrics of Perfect Water and LDOM, and there were a couple of "discrepancies". I forget the details, it's here on the forum somewhere. I think on one or both he performs with a couple of minor words different than the published lyrics.
I never even noticed the there vs they're difference. Both would sound exactly the same to me.
