One of the things that really strikes me about the guys in BOC is how gracious they are about the many cameras and iPads in their faces while onstage! When other bands are melting down about any kind of phone usage, these guys take it in stride. It sure is amazing what you can do with an iPhone. BOC's lighting certainly helps! I thought I'd share some of my favs from one particular show. Enjoy....

Ugh. Seems I quickly reached the limit! Quick reply doesn't allow more. Shall I do another thread?

Ugh. Seems I quickly reached the limit! Quick reply doesn't allow more. Shall I do another thread? First off, welcome to the forums! Happy to see more fans joining! Are you trying to upload more photos to the thread? There's another way to add more by inserting your photos from another website. First, upload your images on a website besides the Talk Exchange. Then, right-click on an image and select "View Image." Once you're on the page with just the image only, copy the URL. Next, while on the forums, click on the 'Insert Image' icon instead of 'Add Attachment', and paste your URL link and click on the 'Insert Image' button. From there, your image will show up, and you can adjust the size however you want it to. Repeat the same steps for multiple photos. Unlike uploading photos through file attaching, there's no limit on how many images you can put on posts through image-linking. Hope this helps.

I don't have a problem with people using phones at concerts as long as they don't become a distraction for others. I don't mind if people take pictures or video. For me, though, I barely do that at concerts, because not only does the quality not come out too good, but I generally prefer witnessing the show without staring at my device in the air the whole night.

No argument there. I admit to the element of distraction when taking pics. It's harder to take in the subtleties of a performance while looking at a screen. On the other hand, I'm a girl who grew up plastering every inch of my bedroom walls with photos of my rock n' roll heroes. There's something very special about the perfect concert photo... the framing, the lighting, the facial expressions. Looking at these pics takes me back to certain special moments in the show. I try to keep it to a minimum. I DO think it can be disrespectful to the band, but it depends on how you do it. I'm mostly GLUED to Buck's guitar action, anyway -- not much time for picture-taking, so I wait for a song that I'm less enthused with.
These pics (and I have about ten I would choose to share) were taken in St. Pete, Florida where I was STUNNED at the number of big phone screens and even iPads being shoved in the band's face. I was embarrassed to join in at all, with my little screen. But the guys were VERY gracious about it, and I applaud them for that.
Well, Markus --the benefit to being up front is that the sound man is a good distance behind you. I'm not a snob, but I frequent the GA shows where I can choose my position.
Emily -- THANK YOU for the tip! I'm not on any social media sites, though I will keep your instructions in mind.
