ever notice the running back or wide receiver at a NFL game, while running down the field looking at the jumdotron watching himself run with the ball.i dont think BUCK is looking to see if eric or richie is sneaking up from behind to strip his guitar out of his hands or tackle him.i can say that BUCK looks pretty good up on the big screen from one of the shows a while back.might of been at the T-BOWL.CENTOLA might know what i am talking about.

So if Apple has a patent on the tech, what would stop other mfg's from recording? Wouldn't it be an incentive to buy something else if that is important to you as a phone owner?

Well, from casual observations of the concerts I went to after this thread was posted, there's no huge impact, lol.  From the shows I went to in July, not even the iPhone users looked like they were affected at all. From observing the crowd, I didn't see very many iPhones in the air when I saw The Hollywood Vampires, but for those who were recording, whether or not they used an iPhone, nothing had stopped them. XD I didn't use my iPhone at the H.V. show, since I was allowed to bring in my camera, so I managed to get some videos and pictures. Like what Buck said, in the smartphone era, everybody has a video camera. |

I keep reflecting on this post. Realizing the risk in offending some with my "political" opinion... the FBI has a messy situation on their hands. They've had to confiscate and wipe all the cell phones of the Route 91 attendees that came forward. Is it not plainly obvious that if we didn't have all that audio and video, we'd have to go along with the story that was initially fed to us? You never know when the next show you go to might have this Apple technology in place.

Backup your phones regularly. Apple phones are backed up, photo and video in the cloud. The FBI would have collude with Apple to wipe images taken at the Rt 91 fest. Apple isn't there yet, as far as I know. And if you do computer HD backups, like you likely would in the case of potential evidence in a situation like Rt 91, it's yours to keep a copy.
Unless we let the gov't regulate the internet, we shouldn't think big brother is all controlling at this point.
