So Captain... how'd it go?
I hear the leccy might be out, so until it's restored, you won't get the chance to get online but from what the news is reporting, Matty brushed past FL and is more likely to hit land with reduced intensity in SC...

winds were gusting over 100 mph at the melbourne airport but most of the damage was downed power lines from tree's falling and the wind.still there are scattered power outages and no working traffic lights on A1A.some minor flooding and no serious injuries that i'm aware of at this time.a lot of beach erosion, the dunes are completely washed out flat.today my neighbors and i have been clearing storm debris.mostly lite stuff, except for the ice cooler in the middle of A1A.the 2 door big metal one's you see outside in front of a 7-eleven.we were very very lucky here,in the bulls eye for a few days.i left, got the hell !!!!!! of the beach.it was hairy enough watching the storm track thru the night.about the time it started getting really nasty the power went out.no sleeping and fully dressed in case i had to go over by the king center.my neighbor and i did manage to drink some of the beer and finished of the spicey pork rinds.pretty much all clear now.

Good to hear you're OK - lucky the storm turned and didn't make land otherwise things could have turned really nasty... you just never know with weather, so it's always best to be prepared... and there's an old saying: never pass up on the opportunity to drink beer and spicy pork rinds...
