Kewl tune that I heard a few times back in the 70's but had no idea who did it and hadn't even heard it in 40 years:

It's been a long time since I heard Neanderthal Man. I always really liked the Mindbenders' song It's Getting Harder All the Time from To Sir with Love. If you have the time, I recommend checking out Godley and Creme, the band Lol Creme and Kevin Godley formed after leaving 10cc. The 'L' album is incredibly inventive and dynamic, especially the changes time signatures... it's on this weird cusp of prog and art rock. Definitely worth a listen.

Thx Marina-will definitely check it out-those guys are very inventive .For a tune like Rubber Bullets which pretends to be an "oldie" type song it really stretches pop music IMO.Wall Street Shuffle was kewl too and Speed Kills well that really kills doesn't it.One hopes that in history the 70's will get its due as an amazingly inventive time in music.

DFTR Louis Johnson of The Brothers Johnson. Does not get much better than this for 70's funk.
