Stopped listening to BOC long enough(hehe) to throw some oldies in and thought this was just another great representation of the great music this group made in the 60's(and a bit in the 70's):

A little early background: History 1969–1970: Beginnings In 1969, Maurice White, a former session drummer for Chess Records and former member of the Ramsey Lewis Trio, joined two friends in Chicago, Wade Flemons and Don Whitehead, as a songwriting team composing songs and commercials in the Chicago area. The three friends eventually got a recording contract with Capitol Records. Calling themselves "The Salty Peppers", they went on to have a marginal hit single in the Midwestern area titled "La La Time".[11][17] The Salty Peppers' second single, "Uh Huh Yeah", did not fare as well. Maurice moved on from Chicago to Los Angeles. He added to the band singer Sherry Scott[18] and percussionist Yackov Ben Israel, both from Chicago, and then asked his younger brother Verdine how he would feel about heading out to the West Coast. On June 6, 1970, Verdine left Chicago to join the band as their new bassist. Maurice began shopping demo tapes of the band, featuring Donny Hathaway, around to different record labels and the band was eventually signed to Warner Bros. Records.[

I just saw Santana and EWF in concert the other night. So, them. Since you mentioned Santana, just taken directly from 74 year old Santana's website: www.santana.com/news/carlos-overcome-with-heat-exhaustion-and-dehydration/"Rock Legend Carlos Santana was over-taken by heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert Tuesday (July 5) evening in Michigan. The guitar great was taken from his show at Pine Knob Music Theatre (formerly DTE Energy Music Theatre), an outdoor amphitheater in Clarkston, some 40 miles northwest of Detroit, Michigan. Carlos was taken to the emergency department at McLaren Clarkston for observation and is doing well."
From another news source he said “Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out...."
I don't know what the temperature was on the 5th, but Thursday the high is predicted to be 82 degrees. To me this is an "in your face" reminder to any performers out there, and to anybody even attending any outside concerts. I see that BOC almost ALWAYS has bottled water on stage with them. Very wise!
(I would hate to attend an outdoor concert anywhere near my town right now with temperatures predicted to be 100 to 104, which is about what it has been for weeks.)

For bonus points (and no googling) how old was Santana's drummer when they performed at Woodstock? Only since nobody answered: 20 No, I didn't " Google" it, but the devil is in the details. I DuckDuckGo'ed it.
