...And? What's the point of this thread? For a personal member status upgrade? Overzealous boosterism?

Makes the thread pointless though when I already shared this pic before on another thread. I've seen this kind of over-hyped posting over on FB enough times to not really want to see it anymore, because many people I have come across who do that end up being huge douchebags when they're in the face of criticism.

Since Richie was the source of this photo on facebook, I'm ok it was reposted here, even if redundantly.
There's not that many core posters here, we all pretty much know our "isms," so lets tolerate each other.
If we all were meeting face to face in a Holiday Inn ballroom somewhere, instead of here, we'd likely be civil to each other and probably enjoy each other's company over our shared interests.
I appreciate any effort to stimulate traffic and new content on this site, I don't always have the will to be creating new posts to get you folk to come back here.
Peace and Love.

Buck, while I understand that you're trying to hold peace and wish for everyone to get along, some people are just never going to get along for personal reasons you are not aware of. If we all met up in real life, I think it would be more awkward than enjoyable, because we're basically forced to hang out with someone who has done some pretty hurtful things that some of us would feel discouraged to share about.
It's great to see fan-orientated posts, that I do agree with you on, but the over-redundant ones from my perspective and many long-time fans on a forum hold mediocre value at best in terms of worthwhile discussion.
Why I would be so vocal on this thread, because you specifically told me long time ago that posts like these weren't the way the forum should roll (hence why I don't do this kind of posting anymore myself) and even the harshest criticism I've asked about you before, you didn't have a problem with it. However, I guess there is more to it than I thought.
It's your site, so I won't bring up in detail what my beef is here publicly or comment any further on this thread, but I'll privately share with anyone who wants to know more.

Some of us were here when it got nasty, even physical threats. If someone wants to post, we don't have to read it. Just ignore. I'm not a moderator but I am a Veteran of the Board Wars. As Ringo says, "Peace and Love"

As Ringo says, "Peace and Love" Can I post a link to ASTRONOMY again? I mean, I've seen it a few thousand times, but it's been like waiting to get Married before the fun begins. FWIW, I'd put the Ricky Show up against UFO's Strangers In The Night, any day. And I LOVE THAT!

I'm not sure Ringo is the best example to follow... though peace and love, prior to his intervention, is always a good dictum to emulate... My advice, unsolicited, I admit, is as follows: certain people push your buttons ONLY if you let them... you almost have to grant them permission to piss you off... my policy has long been in development and it is this - if we're talking Facebook, then just block them - that seems to work OK for me - I don't get to see that person's fatuous ramblings, and all's good... in other environments, such as here, I invoke a policy of "ignorement" - it's not an actual word, I appreciate, but it does encompass all the important facets of the policy in question... Once you've refused to allow certain people to annoy you, then it's very easy not to rise to the bait... as my old gran used to say: "F*ck them, and the horse they rode in on..." I must admit that we never quite got to the bottom of why she always said that - it was often inappropriate, and frequently unhelpful... but you tend to keep your gob shut when there's an inheritance pending...
