I just heard from someone who said they were in their local Record Store this morning and SS just happened to be in there and he was frantically taking all the BOC recordings off the shelves - apparently he was ranting and raving something about people being able to buy BOC records so easily... he's clearly a marketing genius and our problem is: we just haven't realised this yet... for, as the Bible tells us, a TRUE prophet is never accepted in his own land... we are just plain flat out not worthy... we need to keep BOC on the down-low - don't talk about them and don't - whatever you do - promote them in any way - like "Alias Smith & Jones's" amnesty, it'll just be our secret... BTW: can you guess what 1970s Western series I was watching earlier today...? Genius management at its finest and exquisite band-branding at its full potential. Surely Queensryche's management team can't compete! In seriousness, this is unprofessional crap. Literally burning money and screwing fans over. If there was better management, there would be fan footage kept up (even shared) while restocking previous DVDs instead of leaving official releases on YT and harrassing users for uploading their own footage. There would also be better utilization of social media platforms for community purposes, news, and marketing. Speaking of marketing, there would also be an updated website with a new merch store of more variety and new original designs for fans to choose from as well as CDs while occasionally bringing in more content to the store.

One thing that is puzzling. For a group so ahead of their time online, AKA AOL Chat Boards, and with a Genius at the Soundboard in The Woodman, we do not get instant downloads on shows. I am not an avid consumer of Live Shows, but the 2016 Gas Monkey Show and Golden Nugget 2017 shows, I would buy 10 copies of those audios. For different reasons, if these 2 shows were not soundboarded, it is a crime. Buck was SPECTACULAR in the Gas Monkey Show and BOC, overall, put on the best show I've seen in 20 years at the Golden Nugget...

Folks, while the past few threads quite clearly demonstrate the hard core fan's frustration(s) with the on-going YouTube take-down wars, let's not turn the entire board upside down.
Our gracious host has let it known how he feels about the subject, and it's not fair to put him - as accessible and responsive as he is toward any inquiries here - in a spot where he has to check in at his own board and gird himself to read nothing but negativity toward an entity that is part of his daily business/livelihood (no, this not some self-righteous J'accuse, I've done this myself recently, and I allowed the emotion of the moment to take over).
Let's consider how fortunate we are to be able to interact *on this board* and take that as a primary reason why we communicate and visit here Side issues such as the YT situation are frustrating to those of us with an interest in the band that goes beyond that of the typical classic rock fan, but we have to be realistic; despite our loudest protestations and clamoring, we will only hold 49% of the vote as to what business/artistic direction of BOC is. Will full-length BOC concerts eventually spring forth on BOC's own YT channel and is this part of a business plan to coincide with a new album? Perhaps, we'll have to wait and see, and maybe wait some more... How long did EB tell us about a 'new album' in the early '90's before Heaven Forbid showed up?
Patience and gratitude can go a long way to help minimize the frustration; who knows, we might be in for a surprise.

Its a business and we are fans. Different ideas and needs. The business of BOC has kept them playing and making a good living a long time.....

It’s this kind of thing that creates the need for bootleg dvds, the biggest fans can’t get their fill and mgt. isn’t helping the situation. They might as well get on board and release something good for sale online at least for the fans. There’s gotta be a decent economical way to do it. I don’t see the issue with good quality fan videos at this point; I know there’s no controls to what is considered good but the few thousand super fans still eat it up and want more. The rest of the casual fans aren’t really going to watch this stuff over and over anyway.

Most Live clips I see sound like crap these days (Joel's was a rare exception, even though he was rudely interrupting that ladies conversation!). But I pray to God Woody has a secret stash of soundboards for future generations (Golden Nugget 2017 and Gas Monkey, Live! 2016, please!). I might have more live recordings, at least on video, than anyone here, dating back to 1997. I don't have a desire to puke it out on YouTube, lol

There will be an official platform coming for online hosting of live recordings. It's just not happening fast enough for me or you people.

Good news, Buck ! but. Let SS pull the plug when he launches this platform. not before. The crackdown on Dime was like, 2 years ago ? 2 years during we waited for shows that could be released officially and were not. (yahoo live, aof live, the elusive O2 london show...) and did the band really profited from that crackdown ? really ? But in the same time, bootleggers are SELLING boots on ebay or Amazon. And well, I may be wrong, but I tend to think that people actually selling BÖC material where BÖC don't earn a cent is a lot more damaging to the business than fans sharing shows on quality platforms, fans that will buy new material with their eyes closed.
because, let's be clear, I think a lot us had already all the material included in the Complete Columbia Collection. and in better quality if I may say so for some of the recordings. But I think we all bought it. because we're fans.
