Very nice version; James still has a great voice, lap steel guitar player is on the money.

Any publicity . . . and you know the rest. Dont like it nearly as much as the Metallica Astronomy cover....but its all good as said above. Again...nice tip of the cap. Dave Mathews surprisingly actually did a better job (after his first few live performances) on Reaper. I actually liked the Astronomy cover alot from Garage Inc.

Today I heard Joe Cocker's transcendent version of With a Little Help from my Friends; has any artist performed a BOC cover so well that they made it their own? Perhaps we can encourage Taylor Swift to cover In Thee (with Buck guesting).

You mean the one from the Gorge with an entire band roaring behind him?

This is The Gorge you might be referring too. Im a very casual Dave fan so not sure.
One of the good ones....he f's up the words a little but great take overall. I have come to realize having heard so many bands try DFTR it is not a easy somg to sing. Dave does a nice job on it and the band is pretty much on it. Like it.

Nice acoustic version Duck.
Fun to see the different takes. The horns were cool actually on the Dave version for instance....steel guitar on the Hetfield...etc. Nice.

I liked both, loved the lap steel on the acoustic one. Pity it seemed not to be the entire song, sounded like they were just about to head into the "other" bit.

I just stumbled across this Reaper cover. It rocks, and the vocal is Hetfield-esk.

I just stumbled across this Reaper cover. It rocks, and the vocal is Hetfield-esk. Yeah, that was good. I liked the bored angel cowbell player.
