Is anyone familiar with or played the Vox Spitfire (1967) guitar at all? If so, can you tell me a little about em?
Thanks

Speaking of Vox guitars, the first guitar I ever bought (1985) was a Vox - a 1982-ish Vox standard 24 model 3503 with Dimarzio super distortion pickups. Very heavy guitar with a nato wood body (some kind of mahogany). Over the years I neglected it (and neglected to play at all), dinged it up, failed to change the strings, let it get dirty, grimy, etc. Finally decided to "get serious about rock and roll" and get it repaired a few weeks ago. Wow. It looks, feels, and plays great. Haven't touched my keyboards at all.
I do want to consider other pickups because while I like a bit of grit, I prefer a thick, clean sound that I can dirty up as needed with effects and amps. Not sure how to go about it. I can't just start swapping out pickups.
