After listening to Brads ' Play' album, I keep thinking that Buck doing a jam with Brad Paisley would be awesome. Maybe on Last Days of May ?

Would've made a good episode of that CMT series Crossroads.

Would've made a good episode of that CMT series Crossroads. The Crossroads Brad did with Jon Mayer turned me on to Brad Paisley. I didn't know previously how good he was.

My GF's kids are into him and I got to hear him play from the records-think I heard some live stuff too-he's really quite good.

So, in the current music industry, how does something like this actually come about ? Country fans always have admiration for a great guitar player so I'm sure that Buck has his fans among Brads listeners. And, as is evident from even the quick response here, there are BOC fans that respect Brads work.
And , from a business perspective, the industry is always looking for strong crossover material.
The iconic Don't Fear the Reaper would have great appeal and also kick ass :-)
I guess the next step would be to find some Paisley fan forums and start a buzz there.

I imagine that most of Brad's fans think Buck looks something like Tony Araya from Slayer, or any member of Slipknot since he's all 'metal'.

You should give the Play album a listen. Much of it is an homage to guitarists that Brad admires. I'm guessing that he has a great respect for you also. And that you both have some Roy Buchanan in your collections :-)

Since BOC has done a number of shows throughout the south in Atlanta, Nashville, Mississippi etc. with the likes of 38 Special and Black Oak Arkansas , I'm sure that there are many Southern rock fans that love BOC and I wouldn't stereotype them one way or another. Of course, Buck can better discuss the reaction they get from Southern audiences. I'm guessing they get their fair share of ' rebel yells ' :-) Yeeee-hah !

BP is a fantastic guitar player, I can watch him, Tommy Emmanuel, and Guthrie Govan all day; his songs contain some incredible moronic/imbecilic lyrics though.

Brad's lyrics are often funny. I don't think he takes himself terribly seriously.
Another underrated guitarist is Keith Urban. He and Brad did a song together called Start a Band that featured great work by both.

BOC, to me, always has a bit of tongue in cheek when it comes to the whole ' Metal Gods' bit, but they take the music itself very seriously and, still, work their asses off , especially with their relentless touring schedule. And , the music biz being what it is, BP is going to be doing those county fairs and casinos some day also :-) "Cause if you think you are a star For so long they'll come from near and far But you'll forget just who you are (yes you will) You ain't the nazz You're just a buzz Some kinda temporary " - Mott The Hoople
