Please.. please pleeease add another song from Club Ninja? Spy? When the wife and I saw Billy Joel he did this thing where he'd give the audience a choice between two songs to play, and he usually paired off a hit against an obscure song. He was STUNNED when the audience overwhelmingly chose Zanzibar over My Life.

And I spoke too soon. Sudden health problems are forcing us to miss this one. Hopefully we can manage to see the band in Penns Peak, or if not the next time they're around.

Sorry you missed it and hope you're feeling better.
Surprisingly, what I thought was "front row" was not really front "front".. because the venue fills in the pit area with 3-4 rows of chairs. Row AA was actually the 4th or 5th row.
The show was absolutely incredible.. it is a great listening room and the guys nailed it as always.
However, the downside to this nite was "no devices, no phones, no video, no nada".
The Security staff was a bit too militant about this "no devices" edict. They were actively moving through the crowd with placards to single out anyone taking photos and telling them to "stop".
Whether it was a band request or a venue request for "no devices", this remains to be known (calling later today to speak to mgmt) -- it's not written into the BOC contract, at least the version I have, and I've seen other bands there without this policy.. sooo... not sure what triggered the no phone policy for this show. Saw them at the American Music Theater, Valley Forge Casino, and other smallish venues.. cell phones were NOT restricted.
At one point during this show in "Row AA", Security made faaar too many passes in front of me.. we're talking 2-3 times per song to go chastise the offenders.
The security interruptions were too much, every time, multiple times, right past me. Into about the 3rd song, I did not move my feet to let Security pass. The lady then said "Excuse me.. EXCUSE ME".. I told her to stop interrupting the viewing of the show. It was seriously friggin annoying. Granted, people weren't supposed to be using their phones.. but comon.. they could easily visit the offenders BETWEEN songs.
Alchemy was the latest highlight to the show and done well. Eric got his Halloween thrills to be in character and in costume for this encore song.

My wife has a chronic health condition that can flare up unexpectedly and Saturday was just one of those days. I could see it in her eyes a few hours before we were going to leave that she looked just absolutely exhausted, and about a half hour before leaving it wasn't better so I just asked her to tell me honestly if she really felt up to going or if she was just pushing herself because she didn't want to cause us to miss the show. She relented that she was trying to tough through it so I asked her to go rest and I stayed home with her. We got to see them last month and we might yet see them at Penn's Peak. No sense sacrificing health. I'm really glad to hear that everybody who got to go witnessed what by all accounts was a HELL of a great show. That makes me happy. Can't go through life fretting about missed opportunities. Gotta be happy for what you DO have, and take joy in the happiness of others.

While the camera, phone and just the pain in the ass security with their cute little no photos signs were marching around… I managed to get video and some audio even with those jerks.. I was in AA as well and what a pain the security was.. FYI, those PIT seats were NOT on any ticket purchasing sites… not sure how they were sold!! I did mentioned to Buck after the show on that issue of the security and no photos and he said it was suppose to be No Flash was all so something got screwed up. Anyway I will see what the video looks like once I get it out of my phone and on my Mac .. Frog… where are you? Anyway, Ocean, if your interested .. and also hope to see you at Penns Peak ..
