This might have been covered before, probably an old subject.....but can anyone answer this...? The old Aldo Nova thing.....did he play the actual solo on this tune or was it just the rhythm ? I only ask because I've certainly seen Buck approximate it live many times, but never really though about it, or cared, really.... it doesn't matter to me if it was Aldo, just curious. Also, how much other guitar did Aldo contribute to this album then? Rhythm ....lead...? Overdubs? Hmmm.....Anyone?

A few years ago, Aldo talked about this, on YouTube. He originally stated that he got permission from the producer to go into the studio, after hours, and re-do the guitar parts. This led folks to wonder if it included the solo, but I commented that the solo was Buck Dharma, and he eventually conceded that he (Aldo) did not, in fact, play the solo.

Oh, also, it was only Take Me Away, no other songs.

I played that solo. On a Kubicki Arrow, a ¾ scale V-style guitar. images.reverb.com/image/upload/s--q0N7x0h7--/a_270/f_auto,t_large/v1579491077/xq4sulzk5xdoouz7qgyd.jpg The short scale made it easy to do the big string bends in that solo. The music for "Take Me Away" used Aldo's demo for a template. Eric wrote the new words and Aldo played one of the guitars on it.

BÖC’s best first song, perhaps?

I remember seeing you play it many times & it's a visceral, shred type solo that was before it's time, technique wise.In the Seattle area it used to get played on local rock radio all the time.Good memories.

The best lyric on that entire album is: “My dream may be your nightmare”.. Too cool man!!!

I like " They loaded up on beer & cocaine, and they started their bikes with a roar...." I had cousins who were bikers, so I was familiar with that lifestyle.....
