I think the thing I appreciate so much is the way Buck both you and Eric appreciate the cultural phenomenon aspect of it. Somebody asked Billy Joel if he ever got tired of Piano Man and he said absolutely not, he’s thrilled people love it. It’s refreshing. There are bands out there who have refused to play breakout hits such as The Beastie Boys or Radiohead.

BTW Radiohead won't play Creep but they probably have ten other songs that sound like it.

I saw McLean right after I saw BOC at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn(Great sound) and I will never tire of American Pie.

This is a great interview.
The YouTuber did some great editing and the questions and flow of the information is informative and intriguing. Always nice to learn of something that I never knew before and this interview delivered several of those revelations!

While I'm always appreciative of current day interviews, Another Part of Me is a little tired of most of them being reaper-centric. Especially post cowbell. I understand it's their most universally known song but there are so many others I would love to hear discussed.

I've seen worse there are sports interviews that are putrid to the extent the interviewer knows very little about the player they are interviewing.BUt yeah it's tiring reading about the cowbell .........yuck.I'd rather read about those gold plated diapers.

Point taken about interview's emphasis on Reaper/Cowbell, but there's no avoiding it, so it goes.

This is why I don’t ever watch sports interviews that aren’t done by sports reporters specifically. I’ll bet Randy Johnson never wants to hear about that goddamn bird for the rest of his life. One of the greatest pitchers of all time and all anybody remembers is him vaporizing a bird with a fastball lol.

Point taken about interview's emphasis on Reaper/Cowbell, but there's no avoiding it, so it goes. There was a point during the interview when you started talking about Hammer vampire movies I think, and if the interviewer were me, I’d have used that as a pivot to the lengthy history of vampire imagery in BOC music. But I still learned stuff I never knew before from this interview, such as the mandate to record at a label owned studio for the first three albums.

Just saw an interview on the NFL Network where the schmuck had no idea the guy being interviewed played with a certain QB for two years recently.LOL.It was embarrassing. So Randy Johnson probably feels like Chris Walken then.

Thanks to Reaper, we can all talk about other stuff. How about Bonomo’s Turkish Taffy, cuz nothing can top it, or even come close.
