Love him. Have two of his albums including the one with his INCREDIBLE covers of All Along the Watchtower and Norwegian Wood. He’s a true guitarist’s guitarist. I think he may be unappreciated by the general public but you mention him to a professional musician and they will heap praise upon him. I was introduced to him by his live cover of Johnny B. Goode and was hooked.

Saw him in 1978 & 1981, great both times. I also love the early Mahogany Rush albums unfortunately I lost track after that. Brilliant guitar player but maybe the reincarnation of Hendrix hype at the start of his career didn't help.

Brilliant guitar player but maybe the reincarnation of Hendrix hype at the start of his career didn't help. That, and the fact that they didn't have a Top 40 hit.

Not bad at all! Looks like another underrated guitarist. Mahogony Rush charted several times, but you're correct, no top 40.
Marino announced his retirement from touring after developing an "unexpected and debilitating" medical condition. He's 67 years old. Not sure if he is doing any 'non-touring' work.

Frank Marino deserves recognition. We were on quite a few shows back in the early BOC days. Never got to know him however.

I have to admit that I don't think I've ever listened to him. I'll correct that.

I have to admit that I don't think I've ever listened to him. I'll correct that. Tales of the Unexpected is the perfect place to start. Then get their live album.
