I don't understand the fascination with dead serial killers. I see that Netflix is getting huge viewer numbers on its Dahmer series. I watched 2 episodes and thought, though professionally done it was too much for me. But if you look at books and other stuff devoted to the niche it seems they go bestseller every time. I don't get it.

I think we made it through about 4 episodes, that was it. It turned downright gross, even by my standards.
We're watching Mindhunter now. Serial killers also, but this series is based on the true stories of two FBI agents that were the pioneers of criminal profiling in the 1970's. It's more about how the behavioral science org of the FBI got started. I find it very interesting and nothing like the Dahmer one.

What's even more bizarre, is the women that send love letters or even actually marry the psychos while they're in jail.

Dahmer was a quiet neighbor who just had friends over for dinner.
