Reacher season two premieres in Dec. YES! I'm ready to see some good old a** kicking, even if some of it is a little far fetched! I have seen some incredibly strong guys over the years though.

Love it! Too bad only 8 episodes. Perfect timing too. Premieres a few days before my employee/retiree holiday party and a few days before our extended family holiday dinner. Will help me prepare!
(actually both groups are great and I'm looking forward to both, but still one can't be over prepared)
Thanks for the heads up.

Season 2 of reacher will be interesting for me as it's based on one the few books I haven't read. Looking forward to it.

Season 2 of reacher will be interesting for me as it's based on one the few books I haven't read. Looking forward to it. That'd be "Bad Luck and Trouble" and it's pretty good - it might be an idea to read it before the series starts so you can see if they mangle it - there's one scene in the book that you really have to suspend your disbelief with, and I'll be interested to see how they handle that in the TV version...

We all know the old adage that the movie is never as good as the book. I have found that to be mostly true. However, with cable being able to stretch it out over several hours is changing the narrative.

That's only true if you read the book.

I don't know if this as been mentioned here before or if it's available anywhere outside the UK but; Blue Lights screened over here earlier this year on the BBC was fantastic. It's not a big budget glossy Hollywood type production it's more at the gritty end of the TV spectrum, at times it reminded me of The Wire. It's set in Belfast & focuses on officers on the beat, brilliantly written, tense, moving & relentless. Worth looking out for.

I found the series, but it's blocked since I have a US IP address. Workarounds could be a VPN or using the Tor network if one could find a compatible node. Tor can be hideously slow at times since it routes through 3 servers usually in different countries unless you hack the relay list.

Just finished the first 3 episodes of the new Reacher. I am not disappointed. Can't wait for the rest!

Speaking of Reacher:
Got my first night BOC concert disk today! Haven't played it yet, not enough time, wife made me wrap Christmas presents at the last minute for tomorrow's party with the in-laws.
She wanted to watch another episode of "The Crown" as our "wind-down" show of the evening, BUT today is the release day for "Reacher"! Reacher believes in payback, so do I, so guess what we're watching tonight to wind down: Reacher! Yes!
Great prep show for tomorrow night's party too! (just kidding - mostly)

Watched all three Reacher episodes yesterday and they were terrific.Don't know how they'll roll out the rest of the eps but hope they'll do them a few at a time like yesterday. Slow Horses is great Gary Oldman is a riot. Crime is very good except for the 2nd crazed detective whose accent makes him impossible to understand. Payback was very good and Bodyguard thru 2 eps is good too.I'm on a British crime show kick obviously.
