John Lord -Deep Purple- BURN
OR
Tom Scholz -Boston- SMOKIN
Did my weekly long run and these two songs are in my long run playlist.
Love them both.
John Lord has a more classical music feel to it. Scholz is more rock, jazz, lounge sound to me.
All I know for certain is they both make me want to move!!! You could say one is Smokin hot and the other burns 😀😉.

Hmm...two great keyboardist and two great songs but if I had to choose based on those two alone I'd say Tom Scholz' key work edges out Jon Lord's here. When I saw them play live Scholz focused on lead guitar and Delp did most of the key work but in the studio Tom Scholz was as accomplished a keyboardist as he was guitarist. Smart guy too!

My personal favorite piece of keyboard work from any keyboardist!

Jon Lord has more iconic work and a better sound IMO. While Foreplay/Longtime is incredible, I don’t think it beats Jon Lord’s body of work in Deep Purple and Whitesnake.

I've always liked the organ on those old Three Dog Night records, such as their cover of The Band's "Chest Fever"

I've always liked the organ on those old Three Dog Night records, such as their cover of The Band's "Chest Fever" I saw TDN Several years ago. It was some kind of festival, probably Rib Fest,Thinking I only knew 1 or 2 songs. They opened up with this and I was hooked. Turned out I knew just about every song they played. I just never knew it was them!
