Here is a photo I took of tonight's SpaceX launch as seen in Fort Myers, FL, which is about 165 miles southwest of the Cape Canaveral area. This launch was the 18th time this particular booster rocket has been launched, which sets a record for SpaceX.

Great photos! Thanks for posting. I love "space stuff" but we never get to see anything in KY but an occasional meteor...never anything cool like a rocket launch. You guys in FL are lucky!

Great photos! Thanks for posting. I love "space stuff" but we never get to see anything in KY but an occasional meteor...never anything cool like a rocket launch. You guys in FL are lucky! Thank you! The launch cadence at Cape Canaveral has been incredible this year. Some weeks we have seen two or three launches in a week. Next week there are two night launches scheduled. Hopefully our sky is clear enough that we can see them.

Fascinating photos, as usual.
By the way, Mary, how is your neighbourhood's hurricane recovery going?

Fascinating photos, as usual. By the way, Mary, how is your neighbourhood's hurricane recovery going? Thank you zenman. My neighborhood and those around us seem to have recovered for the most part. Luckily, we did not have any major storms hit us this hurricane season. The beach areas like Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel are still rebuilding, but several of the hotels and restaurants there have re-opened. Thank you for asking!

We could see the Shuttle launches here in Clearwater. Never saw space x however I never paid attention to launch dates. I will for sure now. Thanks for posting! You're welcome! There's a launch on the 7th, and the launch window runs from 11pm to 3am. They'll announce a T-0 when it gets closer to the date. Then there is a launch on the 9th that's taking cargo to the ISS, so that one is an instantaneous launch at 8:28pm. These dates are subject to change of course.

What time was this launch? I checked thier web site yesterday and it only listed a date with no window. Is there another site I should check for upcoming events?

What time was this launch? I checked thier web site yesterday and it only listed a date with no window. Is there another site I should check for upcoming events? It launched at 12:05am. Their website had two upcoming launches listed, one for the Starship launch (in Texas) and one for this Starlink launch at the Cape. So when you clicked the link for the Starlink launch, it went to a page with a description that said this: "SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, November 8 at 12:05 a.m. ET for a Falcon 9 launch of 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. If needed, six backup opportunities are available starting at 12:56 a.m. ET until 2:59 a.m. ET. Eight backup opportunities are also currently available starting at 11:17 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 8 until 2:59 a.m. ET on Thursday, November 9." I usually check the website at www.nasaspaceflight.com They have a forum with sections for different launchers and launch vehicles. They also usually have a webcast on YouTube during the launch that I listen to while I'm out looking for the rocket.
